"Ecstasy (Vocals by Tiff Lacey)" as written by and Johnny Smith....
Have you ever noticed
That I'm not acting as I used to do before?
Have you ever wondered
Why I always keep on coming back for more?

What have you done to me
I'll never be the same I'll tell you for sure

I'll never be the same I'll tell you for sure
I'll never be the same I'll tell you for sure

You really are my ecstasy
My real life fantasy, oh yeah

You really are my ecstasy
My real life fantasy, oh yeah

Not that I'm complaining
A more beautiful vision - I have never seen
If you don't mind me saying
A life of ambition to fulfill my dream

What have you done to me
I'll never be the same I'll tell you for sure

I'll never be the same I'll tell you for sure
I'll never be the same I'll tell you for sure

You really are my ecstasy
My real life fantasy, oh yeah

You really are my ecstasy
My real life fantasy, oh yeah

You really are my ecstasy
(There can be no other
While we still have each other)
My real life fantasy, oh yeah

You really are my ecstasy
(There can be no other
While we still have each other)
My real life fantasy, oh yeah

You really are my ecstasy
(There can be no other
While we still have each other)
My real life fantasy, oh yeah

General CommentI don't think it's really simple as drug-like addiction. Drug addiction is a darker theme, which brings harm to the addict. But the song doesn't feel that way for me.

First, note that the girl is surprised at her current situation. And, from her point of view, her partner is just as clueless as her. It makes the relationship somewhat innocent because neither of them knew what they were getting into. Both of them didn't have any schemes, they just did what came naturally and their relationship grew from there.

The lyrics also lack the malice that comes from the demands of addiction. True, she can't get enough of her partner, but she describes the relationship as a "beautiful vision" and how it relates to her dreams and ambitions. The phrase "life-long" shows that the feeling of ecstasy goes beyond a few fleeting moments. She's not just happy for a short while like with a drug, this is a commitment.

Finally, the idea of addiction itself is contradicted with the line "There can be no other while we still have each other". The use of "while" shows that she isn't completely dependent. She'll stay with her partner while it lasts, but only as long as it's possible for them to be together.

General Commentin my opinion, this song is about love being like a drug.

you're addicted to that person. you adore that person. but somehow the other one does not notice your feelings.

moreover, this song especially appeals to people who are in that very situation for being in love and not getting anything back is a very tough situation. you want to be loved. you want to be admired. you want that song to be addressed to you!

General Commentever thought that songs a) have different meanings to differen people and b) might be a metaphor and do not want to show their real message to everyone?

hence i have to admit that i never tried ecstasy and therefore cannot comment on this issue...

General Commenti definatley agree with maharaja. these songs are way deeper than what they literally say. theres always a hidden meaning, and its present in most of ATB's works. althoguh its open to interpretation, i believe maharaja hit it right on the spot with that comment. word.

General Commenti personally think that they might have met some one who changed there life (in a good way) and than they compare it to a feeling like ecstasy gives you or that that person is there ecstasy?

Song MeaningThis song is actually about a 15 year old girl and her friend who take their parents car to a night club in New York when their parents were away. The 15 year old girl was hit on by an older guy and asked her to leave with him. The girl left her friend behind and went with the man. When they got to his place he gave her a pill and told her to take it and she did. It was ecstasy. The guy then had sex with the girl for the rest of the night. The girl never said anything because she did not see it as abuse or rape. She enjoyed the experiance. Hence the lyrics.... "Have you ever wondered? Why i always keep on coming back for more." And "Not that im complaining. A more beautiful vision..."

General CommentI don't necesarily think it's loving without being loved back...More like The person is confessing their love for someone who was just a freind or something... or just confessing love in general.
