"Wake Up Call" as written by Eron Bucciarelli-tieger, Micah Carli, James Ii Woodruff, Matthew Ridenour and Casey Calvert....
Swim through these waters
My lungs collapse as I'm gasping for air
I'll breathe you in (and I'll breathe you in)
You are my oxygen alone

Through arteries untold, your skin is pale, my body's cold
Way down, deep down in my lungs
I can hear our sweet decay

So spill my blood (so spill my blood)
Midnight skies turn scarlet red
Say "so long," say "goodnight," and just hold out your hand
To catch me if I fall into the night
Say "so long," say "goodnight," and just hold out your hand
To catch me if I fall

Everyone and everything feels like it slips away
Way down deep down in my lungs, I can hear you as you fade

So spill my blood (so spill my blood)
Midnight skies turn scarlet red
Say "so long," say "goodnight," and just hold out your hand
To catch me if I fall into the night
Say "so long," say "goodnight," and just hold out your hand
To catch me if I fall

Wake me up from this nightmare
Wake me up, I know that I am drowning in the blood
Wake me up from this nightmare
Wake me up, I know I am drowning in the blood from a pitch black heart
Cut my throat
Spill my blood
Pitch black heart

So spill my blood (so spill my blood)
Midnight skies turn scarlet red
Say "so long," say "goodnight," and just hold out your hand
To catch me if I fall into the night
Say "so long," say "goodnight," and just hold out your hand
To catch me if I fall

General Commentdoes anyone else think the guitar in the chorus of this song sounds like "Bleeds No More" by Silverstein?

General CommentThis Song is deep I believe it means that his heart was broken but he loved this girl And she destroyed his heart so he is so aggro about her.

General CommentThis song (while not my favorite on the CD) has I think the best part. When he starts singing "wake me up from this nightmare", I think its amazing. The background vocals add so much to it as well, its both mellow and driven.

As for the meaning of the song is about needing someone who doesn't need you. Its a scary thought (a nightmare, if you will), and he realizes that she'll never want him the same way.

    Beautifully written.

General CommentI like the guitar..it definitly has rhythm as it rocks away. The drummer is pretty solid. Can't hear the bass as well, though. Lead sounds like he knows what he's doing.

As for the song...I'm going to have to agree with DangerousBagel. The lyrics are..well, kinda cheesy! Hate to say it, but some of them are so cliche it makes me smile.

Still, that doesn't mean I don't like them. I love the melody lines and the way they use harmony. The only bad thing I can say about this band is the content of their lyrics.

General CommentI will agree on one thing here with everyone, yes the guitar is fantastic. Definitely one of, if not my favorite song on the CD. Yeah the lyrics may be a tad bit cliche but oh well. Pretty much everything has been written about at some point or another right? So I think the focus here should be the presentation of the lyrics which is the music, and the music is extremely good. And one last note, Dangerousbagel you are speaking about MTVmo kids and "their bands". You have Blink 182 as one of your favorite bands. You have officially lost all right to talk about cliched and repetitive lyrics. (Not to say I don't like Blink, cause I do but I just CAN'T see how you can call another bands lyrics unoriginal when pretty much every Blink song deals with girls or youth.) Hah, and while I'm on it you don't MAKE lyrics. You WRITE them. Way to MAKE a proper sentence.

About the meaning, yeah Riseup I think you hit it pretty good. Excellent meaning as a lot of people have a fear like this.
