No holes in the roof
whe rain can't make it's way in
we're sittin' down
you can lay back down
keep your head down
they'll think we're asleep
although you're there
because i'll still feel you breathe

It's raining it's pourin
everyone's snoring
drive through the night
i swear we're almost old

Keep your head down
they'll think we're asleep
although you're there
because i'll still feel you breathe

Wiper plates go through the rain
engine helps and keeps us always to one side
across the pavement

General Commenta few corrections to make to this:

-the third line is not "we're sitting down" it's "we're safe for now."
-the seventh line is "i'll know you're there"
-the fourth line of the second stanza is "i swear we're almost home"
-and the last stanza is: "wiper blades cut through the rain/the engine hums and keeps us awake/tires slide across the pavement."

this song seems to me to be about shutting out the rest of the world... just being together, not letting all the shit outside get into your lives.
