She said goodnight, to all the lights that made her seem to glow.
Her hair parades for him to stay but he decides to go.
He makes his way, from a subtle place. Sometimes he says hello.
It takes him days to move her way. She knows it's time to go.

Cause time doesn't go along the way, now she sits right down to find the one man show.
It's a beautiful day. It's time to leave somebody.

The house is bold and so much colder than nights they'd ever known.
She bends her knees and tries to scream and says "It's time to go".
She moves her lips her words are gifts. He stares as she let's go.
And trades a space for her new place in a world she wants to know.

Cause time doesn't go along the way, now she sits right down.
Cause time doesn't go along the way, now she sits right down to find the one man show.

It's a beautiful day. It's time to leave somebody.

It means a lot to find it so easy. It takes a lot to find yourself way down.
It means a lot to find it so easy. It takes a lot to find yourself way down.

General CommentI don't think it's so much leaving someone else who's right for you, but leaving a version of yourself that isn't right. I see it as the breaking up of a relationship in which the members weren't being themselves, and then they realizing that it isn't so hard to be yourself: "It means a lot to find it so easy"

General CommentIt's about a relationship between two people who know their breakup is inevitable due to differing life paths. Take the line "And trades a space for her new place in a world she wants to know."

She had to leave, and she knew she had to leave. But now it's a 'one man show' and she's lonely. That's what the song is about.

General CommentIt could be about two people breaking up, but the opening lines make me think about someone accepting death. "She said goodnight, to all the lights that made her seem to glow."

She has glimpsed death, knows its coming soon, and is waiting for him to choose the time "Her hair parades for him to stay but he decides to go. He makes his way, from a subtle place. Sometimes he says hello. It takes him days to move her way. She knows it's time to go."

By this interpretation the last lines are saying it may "...take[s] a lot to know yourself way down", but "it means a lot to find it[death] so easy." Death will be easier if you know yourself way down.

Breaking up with someone or letting go of a past version of yourself can be seen as manifestations of death. Much of what I said above would still apply; so perhaps it is just about accepting change and moving on. Maybe your moving on from somebody, maybe its yourself, maybe its life.
