This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
Chase faded days
With eyes that cannot see
I wanna feel it again
Washing over me
Discover all of you
One moment at a time
taste smell secret cell
Your soul it touches mine
I wanna feel up
Hope knows I need it this way
Like I'm walking on clouds
I can't come down
Even if you wanted me to
I can't come down
Even if you wanted me to
No one can stop me
I'm never satisfied
I take what I want
I refuse to be denied
Live in the moment
The future can disguise
It's starting to touch us
but I still can't touch the sky
I wanna feel up
Hope knows I need it this way
Like I'm walking on clouds
I can't come down
Even if you wanted me to
I can't come down
Even if you wanted me to
With eyes that cannot see
I wanna feel it again
Washing over me
Discover all of you
One moment at a time
taste smell secret cell
Your soul it touches mine
I wanna feel up
Hope knows I need it this way
Like I'm walking on clouds
I can't come down
Even if you wanted me to
I can't come down
Even if you wanted me to
No one can stop me
I'm never satisfied
I take what I want
I refuse to be denied
Live in the moment
The future can disguise
It's starting to touch us
but I still can't touch the sky
I wanna feel up
Hope knows I need it this way
Like I'm walking on clouds
I can't come down
Even if you wanted me to
I can't come down
Even if you wanted me to

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version.
Great version of a great song,

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it.
“I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.

I like your take on the "selfish sex"
but my interpretation of the song is that Kirsty is describing the amazing surreal feeling of having a big crush on someone. Wanting to know everything about them, and not giving up until she actually gets "them", in addition the "walking on clouds" hook is describing her emotional high from this "crush" that she is feeling.
I had this same feeling.. and can relate to the lyrics. Anyway songs like this can be interpreted in many ways, this was my interpretation :)
@bbandrew I like your interpretation, although I can see how 'selfish sex' does fit as well haha. :) It's a beautiful song.
wow i got the first comment hehe weird that no one has posted their comments about this song. actually i think this is The best song for Tiesto though its not that popular. i just love it,the vocals in it are pretty much amazing. well i guess you cna never expect too much from tiesto
The basic message of the song--selfish sex, heh--completely contradicts the gorgeous and airy way it is sung. It's completely beautiful in any case.
I have to agree with chocolat, this is one of tiestos better songs even though its not popular, and yes, its 100% about selfish sex.
