See them die
They die

A rain of blood should cover our world
Stench and decay should be the only thing we sense
But hidden in the dark and erased from our heads
barbarity and slaughter are everywhere
A contemptible ethic, a relict

For the weakest of the weak
For the lowest of the low
My voice for the voiceless
My fists for the innocent

On the edge of a new age this is still our dogma
No grave for millions - tortutred creatures,
but a common grave for our morals
This slaughter - on ethic I deny
an archaic way of thinking, so monstruous and absurd

General CommentI thought this song was about standing up for people who get bullied. But I guess if it's about animals that's cool, too.
Although I have to say, even though I like animals, I like eating them too :P

General Commenti think its a great song but im not gunna say what i thaught its about because i knwo it would start shit and i dont want to start shit
all so i dont agree with the go vegan shit thats bull if a cow could it would eat u in a heart beat all life on earth is one jiant food chain and we didnt get to the top with hugs and good fealings if u dont want to eat meat thats fine but dont try to push ur beliefs on other people its not like people go around trying to force meat down your throat
and incase someone should make this piont because people have said it to me befor "what if some thing was to eat you?" well thats fine its the natural order of life and were all going to die someday anyway there are worse things to die for

General CommentI want what you're smoking dude...
But seriously, the song - as said by others before me, is about standing up for people, and animals (since HSB shows support to antifascism and therefore most likely ALF) who can't stand up for themselves.
On a sidenote, I shivered when I heard the chorus for the first time.

General CommentHow can you even DISCUSS if this song is about animal rights? Of course it is... just read the lyrics:

"A rain of blood should cover our world
Stench and decay should be the only thing we sense"

-> because that's what animals lives come to, thanks to humans. but we tend to ignore all the suffering we cause, the blood and the stench of decay. Because our burgers are all made up yummy, no sign of the animal that gave its life for this burger is left. Every meat eater should be forced to endure the stench of decay and death. Then, perhaps, he would begin to realize what he's doing...

"But hidden in the dark and erased from our heads
    barbarity and slaughter are everywhere"

-> Slaughterhouses are out of sight for most humans... so they can easily ignore the reality behind their "meals"

"On the edge of a new age this is still our dogma"

-> Meat eating is still being considered to be "normal", to be "just alright"... still, in our time. That's a monstrosity, because it's nothing but murder.

Pretty hard to misunderstand these lyrics.
And btw, there was a vegetarian/vegan-sXe-compilation named "Voice of the Voiceless" on Smorgasbord Records in 1991. Guess the title is also meant as a tribute to that record.
