Today there was a stream where a walker walked alone. Whistling a tune that drifted up through a tree and stirred up a bird before it was heard by a girl. Today there was a vision of a house burning on a television, in a room inside an eye- in a head topped by a brown curl. a telephone ring, in the middle of the night was said to cause fright in a dark house lived in by a family of four.

Today is almost tomorrow, and if i think- not quite yesterday. but all this ahead, that sees not, would at the foot of its bed, and tomorrow is not quite yesterday. Tomorrow's not quite yesterday..

Last time i saw you, you didnt have brown hair. Now my foot falls dont echo in your halls no more and creeping up the stairs to your room, stick close id stay to the walls stick so close to the wall that the stairs dont creak at all.

And i think i would know! l

ast time i heard you at the table, i could feel that, i was a a fear and im a ghost and, now all my words have fears of mine alone.

terradina!?

and today after the whistling; you sang to the same old tune. Would you talk to me as if im real to you?

Know what about me? What did you do, no one thats in need, nobody looks quite like you. No today is not quite like yesterday. No today is not yesterday- but today was not a good one.

Last time i saw you, you didnt have brown hair and now my foot falls dont echo in your halls no more, i went up to your room, all my fears are mine alone.

today a call could not go through.

today a window will feel not you, today a bird stirred not in its nest..

today, shall we say was not the very best

terradina!?

last time i heard you at the table, i could feel that, i was a a fear and im a ghost and now all my words have fears of mine alone.

terradina!?

Would you talk to me as if i could be real to you?

General CommentI'm really for the typos and errors on this song, I saved a better copy, but I added the wrong one =/. Anyway- ignore that, I'll try to fix it later.

This song is one of Moss Icon's best, and its pretty self-explanitory, and quite amazing as well. The screams perfectly compliment the music and previous spoken word, its all one big climax. Wonderful.

General CommentForgot to say this in my last post, but the end when his voice cracks between singing and talking when he says 'Would you talk to me as if I could be real to you' is probably one of the best moments in a song. It's so sad and powerful..

General CommentGood job, I could find only one little mistake. In the beginning, "Today there was a vision of a house burning on a television, in a room inside and i- in a head topped by a brown curl." I think it would make more sense as, in a room inside an eye, in a head topped by a brown curl. Like the M.C. Escher drawing, (ha.)

General Commentthe correct lyrics are as follows:

"Today there was a street where a walker walked alone
Whistling a tune that drifted up through a tree
and stirred up a bird before it was heard by a girl.
Today there was a vision of a house burning on a television
in a room inside an eye in a head topped by a brown curl.
A telephone ring in the middle of the night was said
to cause fright in a dark house lived in by a family of four.
Today is almost tomorrow and if I think not quite yesterday
But old is the head that sees not would at the foot of its bed
And tomorrow is not quite yesterday

Last time I saw you, you didn’t have brown hair.
Now my footfalls don’t echo in your halls no more
And creeping up the stairs to your room
Stick close to the wall cause close to the wall the stairs won’t creak at all.
And I think I would know
The last time I ate your table I could feel that I was transparent as a ghost
And now all my words have fears of mine alone.
And today after the whistling you sang to the same old tune.
Would you talk to me as if I’m real to you?

Knowing about me what you do
Knowing that to me nobody looks quite like you
Knowing that today is not quite like yesterday
Knowing that today is not quite yesterday
But today was not a good one.

Last time I saw you, you didn’t have brown hair
And now my footfalls don’t echo in your halls no more
I went up to your room, all my fears are mine alone.

Today a call could not go through.
Today a window revealed not you.
Today a bird stirred not in its nest.
Today, shall we say, was not the very best.

The last time I ate your table I could feel that I was transparent as a ghost
And now all my words have fears of mine alone.
Would you talk to me as if I could be real to you?"
