"Do It For The Kids" as written by Saul Hudson, Duff Rose Mckagan, David G Kushner, Scott Richard Weiland and Mathew William Sorum....
Went too fast I'm out of luck and I don't even give a fuck

I want to be your man child
Let's all go it hog-wild
She said I'll see you later
I always gravitate to her

Let's all meet at the station
No heavy concentration
We could all hook up there
The kids are all alright there

Should we go out later
Showtime for strangers

Don't you give a fuck anymore now
She's givin' up on you now
Do it for the kids they say
It ain't about you anyway

I say we're all grown up now
And sex ain't so safe now
It's all in the groove they say
Doesn't matter anyway

[Repeat: x2]
Should we go out later
Showtime for strangers

Keep me runnin' like a deer in the headlights
All for nothing I thought
Just the ransom I had bought
About the day I tried to tame her
Never tried to blame her
Just a game that I had bought

Let's all meet at the station
No heavy concentration
The kids are all alright there
Went too fast I'm out of luck and I don't even give a fuck

[Repeat: x4]
Should we go (should we go) out later
(Went too fast I'm out of luck and I don't even give a fuck)
Showtime for strangers
(Went too fast I'm out of luck and I don't even give a fuck)

General CommentOkay, I see both the sex and divorce theories to an extent. This is what I got out of the song...

The first verse is the initial "hookup". That's pretty damn obvious. Second verse is the girl not giving a fuck about him anymore and getting ready to leave him.

"I say we're all grown up now
And sex ain't so safe now"
To me this sounds like the couple had an accidental child, which would make sense with the "Went to fast I'm out of luck and I don't even give a fuck" part, meaning he went too fast in the relationship or whatever (or just got straight down to sex and wasn't wearing a condom or whatever, idk) and they conceived a child and even though she wants to leave him, everyone is saying "do it for the kids".

General CommentI see this as another divorce type song. He seems to be saying that people want them to stay together, but maybe a lot of those people are saying just "do it for the kids." So the divorce is never about him and her it's all about keeping the children safe.

General CommentSex? Wow, I really never would have thought that. Did he really say that? I want to hear it for myself. It really does seem like a divorce type song.

General CommentThe best part is at the end when Slash starts doublepicking over the Chorus. First time I heard I was on my bike and i nerly crashed. It just stopped the world around me.
