"Rock Me" as written by Alan Niven, Jack Russell, Michael Lardie and Mark Kendall....
Sweet little baby
You don't have to go
Little baby
Tell me you won't go
We'd be so good together if we had the time
Bein' alone's a nowhere state of mind
Lovin' ain't no crime, oh no
I see your man ain't here
He don't care
The way of the night has gone
We'll move on
Got to find a way
To face another day

I search the world
For someone I'll never find
Someone who ain't
The hurtin' kind
If you stay the night
We'll make the wrong seem right
So come on now

Rock me
Rock me
Roll me through the night

We'll burn in love tonight

Sweet little baby
Oh don't you go
You ain't so innocent, I know
I know your heart's like mine, oh yeah
And I will find the time
To make you mine
And if your love goes bad
If it makes you sad
I'll be back for more
At your door

Before the mornin' light
We'll burn with love tonight

And when your man don't care
I will be there
Still be lovin' real good love

There is no wrong or right
We'll burn with love

My OpinionGreat White is my all-time favorite band, period! The lyrics are actually, "Rock Me, Rock Me, Roll Me Through the Night."

This song is kinda strange because the situation is clearly about talking an unavailable woman into bed, but it comes off mostly like begging. Geez, the song is over seven minutes long and, even at the end, we're never really sure if he scored (LOL).

I agree with TabuuDi26's comment: "80s GLAM FOREVER!" While ScottBoy79, MMCammbells, and MagicBlue22 are correct that Great White were never "glam metal" nor "glam rock," Traveler in Stygian is correct that GW is in the same category as the bona fide glam bands, and c'mon, "glam" sounds so much better than "hair band."

General CommentHmm...it's surprising no one else has commented on this song. Maybe people think the room they're in will burst into flames if they leave a post for this band. Whatever the reason, I think the meaning of this song is obvious. I think the reason they wrote this song is even more obvious, just a couple guys trying to get laid. The song still rocks though...80s Glam forever!

General CommentThis is one of the best blues 80's rock songs ever. It is one of my favorites too. I wish they made a new album already.

General CommentI agree with them not being glam. Their most "glam" song was probably Once Bitten, Twice Shy, and it wasn't really glam at all.

General CommentDo not call great white a glam band. They were far from it. First of all they were very much Led Zeppelin influenced and when is saw them live they played 3 zeppelin classics, I'm Leaving You, What is and what should never be and stairway to heaven. What glam band had the balls to play stairway to heaven, absolutely none. honestly i hope someone can prove me wrong. so instead of lumping these guys with crappy bands like poison, warrant, ect put em where they belong with guns n roses, tesla, motley crue and cinderella. This song is an all time classic and i have yet to tire of it after ten plus years of loving it. ROCK ME BABY!!!
