"Blame It On me" as written by Maria Viktoria Mena and Thomas Wohni....
The rain falls on your days
Giving you a reason for mysterious ways
Behind doors the darkness falls
You pour a cup of coffee, and get talking walls

But you can blame it on me
And the person you thought I wanted you to be
But don't you blame it on love
Cause you will regret it then, and from now on

Besides from days gone by
Hours seem so slow you think you'll surely die
You decide to call up a friend
When she doesn't answer you are close to the end

But you can blame it on me
And the person you thought I wanted you to be
But don't you blame it on love
Cause you will regret it then, and from now on

But you can blame it on me
And the person you thought I wanted you to be
But don't you blame it on love
Cause you will regret it then, and from now on

But you can blame it on me
And the person you thought I wanted you to be
But don't you blame it on love
Cause you will regret it then, and from now on

But you can blame it on me
And the person you thought I wanted you to be
But don't you blame it on love
Cause you will regret it then, and from now on

But you can blame it on me
And the person you thought I wanted you to be
But don't you blame it on love
Cause you will regret it then, and from now on

(and the person you thought I wanted you)
(cause you will regret it then)

General CommentI love this song! Maria has explained what the song means to her. She says that it is sang from the perspective of her father. It's so original and witty! Love it!

General CommentI thought the "blame it on me....but don't blame it on love" was a rather clever line. I'm not a really big fan of her singing style, but i like listening to her music. It's soothing and easy to understand.

General CommentI really like how this song starts out, it feels almost dark, and maybe in a way the whole song is, it certainly is about despair, and I have felt this way quite a few times. Never suicidal as this almost seems to convey "when she doesn't answer you are close to the end..." but that has happened to me before, calling someone up in a needed time and not getting an answer, and plenty of times has the first two lines applied to me, but I don't drink coffee.

General CommentOk. So I got a completely different interpretation from this but the way I interpreted it never completely made sense to me. I always thought that this song was about a signifigant other cheating on her ("The rain falls on your days giving you a reason for mysterious ways") and blaming it all on her for not being exactly the way he wanted or thought her to be. ("But you can blame it on me
and the person you thought I wanted you to be"). I don't know. That's kind of what I got of it.

General CommentI thought this song was about a breakup that got blamed on her for being too perfectionist with someone who got tired of it. I thought Maria said, "Blame it on me" rather than "Blame it on love" so her significant other won't be disappointed in future relationships..
