"Pearls Before Swine" as written by and Keenan/mullin....
Father forgive me
Mother forsake me
I think they've all become to strong

Brother believe me
Silence is deadly
And its giving me the strength to carry on

Time has come, now I'm blind deaf and numb
You're killing me, you're killing me
When I look into your eyes I can see it's
The world that you despise

And you're giving me the strength to carry on

Forgive me

Look for the devils in their eyes
Laughing, the blood has long been dried
To hide in your disguise it goes on and on and

Wallow...pearls before swine!

If the liar deceives you
Then the sin will appear true
Even if it leads me to the end

Killer accuse me
The devil breathes easy
Give in me the strength to carry on

Time has come now I'm blind deaf and numb
You're killing me you're killing me
When I look into your eyes I can see it's
The world that you despise

And you're giving me the strength to carry on
Look for the devils in their eyes
Laughing the blood has long been dried
To hide in your disguise it goes on and on

Wallow, pearls before swine

No you've blown away the sun
Darkened eyes and bitten tongue
Now you've blown away the son.

General CommentAmazingly, nobody has posted in this song yet. Great, great song. I think it's probably about Pepper's dad and their relationship.

General CommentI read an article when Deliverance came out about each track on the record. Pepper said this song is primarily about Stefan Lux (sp), a jewish journalist who, at the League of Nations, warned of the Nazi threat and rise to power before WW2. No one believed him and he ended up taking his own life to prove and solidify his point. His warnings went unheard hence, pearls before swine. Oh and the intro to this song is taken from Lux's speech. You can hear his name as the vocals kick in.
