She's not home and yet I still believe
The clothes she gave to me so very hopefully
And first my heart she took
But now it's overlooked
A chapter in a book
Not even on the bestseller list
And tie me up in rope
I feel like such a dope
And looking back I wish I'd never even fallen for her
She could be just a friend in my eyes
But she looks so good today
And she is so alive

And I'm alone, I'm alone
And I'm hoping she's sappy just like me
I'm alone and I hope she's unhappy just like me
Just like me

When did this hit me
I still don't get why I have no regrets
About these funny feelings deep inside
I want to tell
I hope, I wish to tell
'Cause I am in club Hell
Where I'm the only freaking member
So rip out all insides
There is no place to hide
From what I think is love
Is such a trippy ride
If I could take it back
I can't wait to attack
Before I let what we had
Fall into that zone

Where I'm alone, I'm alone
And I'm hoping she's sappy just like me
I'm alone and I hope she's unhappy just like me
Hoping she's sappy just like me
Hope she's unhappy just like me

Harry, Sally, Joey, Dawson so damn corny
Why is life a story when it just dawn in happy
John Hughes' 80s movies coming back to haunt me
And I can not pretend this any more

'Cause I'm alone, I'm alone
And I'm hoping she's sappy just like me
I'm alone and I hope she's unhappy just like me
I'm alone and I pray she feels crappy just like me
I'm alone and I hope we'll be happy in the end

General Commentwow. I felt exactly this way when I was 16. I don't think its a break up song though. I think its a song about a girl he just adores, he can't stand it anymore. Everyone has those people in their lives at some point. He wants to stop "but she looks so good today And she is so alive". He makes the mistake of telling her and she got freaked out and doesn't talk to him anymore, he's alone.

Now, he wishes "he'd never even fallen for her" that way they could still be friends because being friends or even not knowing each other is better than having her know what a dope he is. If he never would have tried to be with her there would still be hope that they could be. But there isn't and he can't stand it. But he's so over-romantic, sappy, and hopeless for this girl he still believes there is hope (check the last line). However, he knows there is no hope, we know there’s no hope but he loves this girl. There’s no easy answer, if there even is one.

I agree w/ghotistix it sounds like a watered down Konstantine, just a little different and thanks for putting it up. great song.

Why are you attracted to people that you know you'll never be with? You just are. its so frustrating especially for 16 year olds. The raw emotion in Max's voice is so beautiful and real you just want to cry.

Theres no fancy stuff in this song. Its just real raw emotion that only 16 year olds can capture.

General CommentIt's a shame this wasn't already on here, in my opinion it's their best song. It's a pretty cliched breakup song but it's got a great melody. Sort of like a watered down Konstantine.

General Commentthis song is about life in general...
mankind itself and how god put us in a jar and 'covered us w/ grass'&'gave us brethein holes' comparing men to bugs and shit that you put in jars and how we're just like them, also comparing the world to a laundry room
all that talk about 'making him happy' or 'keeping him happy' is about organized religon and so fourth...
also talks about how easily amused we are by litil things such as 'cutting ourselves'
at least thats wat i got out of it.....

General CommentI totally agree with Synergyx. And the rambling way he put it makes it that much better. Cause its such a real life situation, that is so hard to explain. I think this song conveys one of the hardest emotions to communicate. And if you have ever been in this situation you would know how hard it is to admit to yoru self that what your feeling is love and i think max captures this when he says "There is no place to hide, From what I think is love, Is such a trippy ride" Cause there comes a time when you jsut cant escape it, its all you think about, that some ones always on your mind and your just like wow i might be in love. Then at the end you look back and the whole time even though you knew it was probly not gonig to work out you always had your hopes it would and it had its ups and downs and as max says its a trippy ride.
