"T.V. Eye" as written by Scott Asheton, Ronald Asheton, James Osterberg and David Alexander....
Lord
Aah, hoo!
Stop it!
See that cat?
Yeah, I do mean you
See that cat?
Yeah, I do mean you
She got a TV eye on me
She got a TV eye
She got a TV eye on me
Oh

See that cat
Down on her back?
See that cat
Down on her back?
She got a TV eye on me
She got a TV eye
She got a TV eye on me
Oh

See that cat?
Yeah, I love her so
See that cat?
Yeah, I love her so
She got a TV eye on me
She got a TV eye
She got a TV eye on me
Oh, yeah

Right on
Right on
Right on
Right on

Yeah, c'mon!
See that cat?
Look here, I love her so
You see that cat?
Yeah, I love her so
She got a TV eye on me
She got a TV eye
She got a TV eye on me
Oh

General CommentTaking the the actual acronym out of consideration, this almosts sounds like a lovesong to a cameragirl, possibly videotaping a concert.

And yes, this is easily the best song on Fun House.

General Commentstands for "Twat Vibe Eye". Iggy got it from Kathy Asheton, guitarist Ron Asheton's little sister.

General CommentTV eye was a term used by Ron and Scott Asheton's little sister Kathy. it stands for 'twat vibe eye'. Her and her friends used it to say someone was staring at one of them. like, "oh, he's totally got a TV Eye on you!". Iggy Pop overheard them and thought it was funny.

General CommentAnybody heard the alternate cuts of this on the remaster album?

There's way too many of them, but one of them is really funny. They have an Emcee (Iggy I think) introduce them, and he's getting boo'ed a lot, kind of like the stooges in general.

I really would have liked to have seen them in their prime (what would have really been cool is if you could transport a crowd from a Nirvana concert back in time, and seen it with them. Oh and the Velvet Underground with a Smashing Pumpkins crowd would have been cool too!)
