"On My Way" as written by Rick Beato, Shea Sowell, Matt Chambless, Phil Bogard and Justin Moore....
I don't want your old letters
And I don't want to be friends
I've had enough to last a lifetime
And I don't want to go again
I don't have to find a reason
And I don't have to answer why
It doesn't matter who is wrong here
I just want to see you cry

And on my way I'll take the sunshine
On my way I'll take your dreams
On my way I'll say I'm sorry to no one but me

Let your family know I'm leavin'
Lie to your girlfriends that you're well
Call and leave a cryin' message
I want to know it hurts like hell

And on my way I'll take the sunshine
On my way I'll take your dreams
On my way I'll say I'm sorry to no one but me
On my way I'll be my own man
And I'll only please myself
On my way my pride's the only feeling I've got left

General CommentThis is my personal favorite IH song. It's about a bitter breakup, and the guy is basically saying get out of my life, I don't want anything to do with you. I love the way this song is written, because it hurts. "It doesn't matter who is wrong here / I just want to see you cry."

For me, that basically sums up the meaning of this song: she hurt him, and now he wants to see her hurting, too.

General CommentThis song is great. It's also my favorite Ingram Hill song. I love how it the song sounds kind of happy and sweet, but it's really bitter and saying "I'm leaving and I want to see that it hurts you because you deserve it." Ingram Hill is a great band. I just saw them friday night in St. Louis, amazing.
