Watching the ice melt between us
Just faster than grass grows
Itís not the best that weíve seen us
But nothing else I'd have chose

Reminds me of a time
When anything could have come
Anything could have happened
What a fantastic feeling

Time is precious as you say it is
I wanna know that we didn't miss
It goes by quickly youíll soon find out
I wonít go down
Time is precious as you say it is
I wanna know that we didnít miss
It goes by quickly youíll soon find out

When you fight to resist
Emotion with a fist
An irresistible force will always
Prevail

The fortress goes crumbling down
Around you where you stand
What was once strong mortar
Is now a pile of sand

Time is just as precious as you say it is
I wanna spend it and know that we didn't miss
I've dodged so many bullets that Iím careful now
I wonít go down
Time is just as precious as you say it is
I wanna spend it and know that we didn't miss
I've dodged so many bullets that I'm careful now
From reckless to recluse
And sometimes back again
Left wondering what's the use
Of a life of mischief spent

Makes cool the desert sun
The piece of mind that you gave me
Absolve me for things I've done
Only that can save me

Time is just as precious as you say it is
I wanna spend it and know that we didn't miss
I've dodged so many bullets that I'm careful now
I won't go down

Time is just as precious as you say it is
I wanna spend it and know that we didn't miss
I've dodged so many bullets that I'm careful now

This song means exactly what it is titled, that time is precious...duh. But I don't think I've ever heard lyrics explain it so well, especially for me in my life. I'm finishing up college in a year or so and this song helps me focus whenever I hear it, not just on school work but life in general at my age. This harmony displayed by SA and Nick would sound weird without the music, but it is so beautiful when combined, and adding the drums in with those fills makes it even better. Once again, only a song that 311 could produce, and harmony that most other bands would butcher.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
