"A 1000 Days" as written by and Tye Zamora Michael Cosgrove....
Eyes they burn from stinging travel
And missing you is hard to handle.

Stayed away a thousand days and things have changed like a decade.
Made the most of all my days, and still I'm on the wrong page.
Now I'm home and feeling more alone.
It's in your tone, so maybe I should go.

Why'd it turn from sweet to bitter?
Now no cure can make it better.

Stayed away a thousand days and things have changed like a decade.
Made the most of all my days, and still I'm on the wrong page.
Now I'm home and feeling more alone.
It's in your tone, so maybe I should go.

Oh, oh, speeding faster towards disaster.
Oh, oh, this house is cancer I won't last here.
Oh, oh, years go by and still no answers.
Oh, oh, no answers.

Now no cure can make it better.
Stayed away a thousand days and things have changed like a decade.
Made the most of all my days, and still I'm on the wrong page.
Now I'm home.
Speeding faster towards disaster.
It's in your tone, years go by and still no answers.
Still no answers.

General Commentomg the meaing of this song is so obvious, this guy went somewhere on a holiday for a while and his girlfriend changed while he was gone, she might have cheated on him & at the start of the song he says "eyes they burn from stinging travel" and yeh so basically he's travelling and then it says "stayed away a thousand days and things have changed like a decade" omg that was so easy to interperet!!

General CommentGreen1 perhaps the person didn't go on holiday, and instead it could be Dryden talking about coming back from a tour of some sort and everything has changed.
"Eyes they burn from stinging travel" could be about the lack of sleep on tour, and long journeys to show venues.
That interpretation seemed more obvious to me.
