What happens when fuck you,
I won't do what you tell me to
Means that I will still fuck you
Even when you tell me not to?
10,000 million boys screaming for their sisters
and their mothers
all reaching for their sisters
they all want to fuck their mothers
He comes in my bedroom around corners
Of moonlight;
Unexpected, he catches me
In his big arms an ancient music at the edge
Of my mouth
He looks at me
And warns:

The second you touched it it started to die inside
When you said "show me your tits" we were
Wishing you died
Extending into flesh and staring
This fake revolution resolved into PACK OF

We're all
Waiting for you
Around your grave

A pack of wolves!

General Commentthis song to me seems to be about the tendency of men to be sexual "beasts" avoiding relationships and whatnot (and this is coming from a man.) To quote the bang bang bang song "I don't want to know your name, all I want is bang bang bang"

General CommentI mean, I think you're right in a way. But Black Eyes is really big on confronting serious issues head on...this is more about rape than a general tendency...like the section quoting A Father's Song by Komunyakaa (I can't spell his name worth shit but I think he's cited on the lyrics sheet) that whole poem is about a father warning his daughter against other men and then raping her. This song is definitely about the primal nature of men protecting their own sisters and mothers but being aggressive to the point of rape (pack of wolves) towards other women, but it's also very critical of this sort of frat boy mentality..."when you said 'show me your tits' we were wishing you died..."...that's what I think

General Commenti think the last part of the song refers rather pointedly to the way the punk scene deteriorated in the "alternative" 90s, 'show me your tits' being the battle cry for a 'fake revolution' that uses music as an excuse for communal drooling. when i was a kid, i went to several "HFStivals" in DC and the moment a crowdsurfing girl popped out of her top, four or five hairy, anonymous arms would lunge forward to cop a feel. and anybody who's seen a mosh pit can vouch for the fact that sweaty, angry and drunk boys can closely resemble a pack of wolves

General Commentokay, first of all, i absolutly love the black eyes, although their cd 'cough' didn't appeal to me much. this is my favorite song on their album 's/t'. i love how the viewpoint in this song changed so often and how this band always has something improtant to say.
