"Eyes Of A Criminal" as written by Mark Hunter, Robert Arnold, Jim Lamarca, Chris Spicuzza, Matt Devries and Andy Herrick....
This rage has overcome
No more will I shun
These thoughts I've had
This lie I've lived
I let them put the blame on me
Engulfed in hate
You can't conceal these thoughts
You can't disguise this rage

You have
Your boundaries
Now I've got

I've got your back against the wall
Forever trapped
Staring through the eyes of a criminal

A broken home
Left alone
An excuse you used
Don't bullshit me
Save all the breath that you can breathe
Engulfed in flames
You can't conceal my thoughts
And you can't disguise my hate

Staring through my eyes

General CommentI think this song is about someone who was all just all misanthropic and basicially just one day just perceving him/herself and realizing what they've become and knowing that they can't ever change back "I've got your back against the wall
    Forever trapped". really cool song

General CommentI love this song, Chimaira are one of the best live bands around.

The meaning seems pretty straight forward, it's about being pushed to the edge and snapping.

General Commentimpossibility of reason is the best album to come out since metalica's ...and justice for all. The double bass in this song is insane.

My InterpretationCould it be possible that this rage they are feeling is aimed towards themselves? That is that they are looking at their past and judging their past actions, and therefore implying we need to become a better person (or have since became a better person).

As @quiffporn commented regarding it is when you are pushed to the edge before you start to push back. My thinking is that it may be that it is when you decide to be better (step up, take responsibility for your actions etc.) No longer blame others ... but look inside of yourself (hence the line/title Eyes of a Criminal, as you can judge yourself).
