"Loose Lips Sink Ships" as written by and Michael Baskette Victor Jasper....
This frame once held my favorite picture
But now it's empty, now it's broken
And that's how you left my chest
Hallowed out by your hands
Where you dug a grave and laid
Your memory to rest

I hate the way you say I told you so
This is for all the wilted pedals on the floor
This is for a waste of a dozen roses maybe more
This is for how you never deserved
Nothing more from a rose than the thorns

This should have ended with the kiss
That you left on someone else's lips
Which turned my heart inside out
You left it looking much the same
A motionless mass of muscle and vain
As I clean up this mess you've made

So as I sing you to sleep
I hope my ghost haunts your dreams
Lost in your memory
As bad as it seems

So twist the knife
Fashion me counter clockwise
Turn back time
Forget you never were mine
(With this knife I will cut
The last piece of you from me
The razor blades will separate
Any connections we've made
But there's complications
In the operation
That keeps me from forgetting your face
But come tomorrow I'll rid the sorrow
From within my heart which you plagued)

General CommentThis is obviously about a failed relationship, one in which there was cheating involved. Hearts were ripped out, of course it is explained in such a non-cliche way, which i love. "But now its empty, now its broken. And thats how you left my chest. Hallowed out by your hands." That is so powerful right there. You can just imagine the heart being torn out, as it was how the person was feeling when the cheating was admitted. I can't listen to the last part enough... "so twist the knife. fashion me counter clockwise. turn back time. forget that you were never mine." There is so much bitterness and almost hatred in those words, like there is regret for the relationship having ever happened. Even though, im sure its just the initial reaction to the breakup that has left the dumpee so full of anger and resentment. And in the end, as much as is wanted... the cheater cant be forgotten, but there's always tomorrow! Gosh, what a freaking amazing song...

General CommentI belive he's also talking about dying here.
Because when he says "with this knife i will cut the last piece of you from me" which is his heart.
So i think hes debating commiting his own suicide because of his loss.

General CommentI freaking love this song.
I have one slight nag with the lyrics though...'pedals' should be petals, i believe, you know as in rose petals; i just think that makes more sense.
