"Not Over You Yet" as written by and Kevin Patrick Devine....
You were always cute
But goddamn
You got hot
Hot enough to streak the streets white with sunspots when you walk
And I'm still obsessed with cowboys and Indians
And you bitin' your lip when you lose your breath

I'm not over you yet
I know I will not call
It's this decision I've made

So I'm up all night chanting
Vow I can't break
I might bite my nails
So I can't scratch my face
But I'd still cut my hair if you asked the right way
I'd at least comb it anyway

You're still on my towels
In my eyerolls and scowls
And I know what I did, and why
But that don't mean I can't regret it
When I'm watching my TV all night

General CommentThis song has made me cry on many nights, thinking about the person you love yet hurt, especially for no reason. Kevin Devine is an incredibly talented songwriter, and he's without a doubt one of my favorites.

General CommentI really think this song is about drugs. I don't know.

General Commentthe story kevin told to introduce this song. Kevin was on exstacy (he suggested trying it once, and leaving it at that) one night, and was talking with a girl he was dating (who is now dating someone else, better for everyone said he). she said she loved this song and asked who it was about. In his brutally honest, drug addled state, he replied with the far too true answer of "your best friend".

not necessarily what the song is about, but a funny compliment to it nonetheless.
