Here it comes to subject the terror you forgot
No memories from the past
The unexplainable starts to appear
As your sub-consciousness begins to come back again
Reality fades away
You try to find a solution
Here it's coming now, indecision
You're free but you can't see through the confusion
[Chorus]
There is no time
No time to regret
The eraser's coming for your life
You got to run
Stay away from the light
The eraser's here to twist your mind
Feel your soul connected to the universe
The solstice is complete
They controlled your thoughts
You will remember now, what it's all about
Twist the end around, violation
It's burning deep and twisting under your skin
It scares you forever
The proof you will find in your dreams
[Chorus]
No memories from the past
The unexplainable starts to appear
As your sub-consciousness begins to come back again
Reality fades away
You try to find a solution
Here it's coming now, indecision
You're free but you can't see through the confusion
[Chorus]
There is no time
No time to regret
The eraser's coming for your life
You got to run
Stay away from the light
The eraser's here to twist your mind
Feel your soul connected to the universe
The solstice is complete
They controlled your thoughts
You will remember now, what it's all about
Twist the end around, violation
It's burning deep and twisting under your skin
It scares you forever
The proof you will find in your dreams
[Chorus]

Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
Magical
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
Blue

Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
seems to describe a person being chased by a paranormal monster, or perhaps he is just paranoid.
I dunno, to me, when I first heard the song, I used to think it was about slowly realizing at the end of your life that there is no god or hope or whatever you may believe. But now, after I've listened to it more and more, and read the lyrics, it seems to be the need to believe in something after death once death is facing you as a reality. And in death, you can choose to believe that you have no hope, or realize that there's a greater sense of existence beyond that on Earth. Not exactly in the heaven idea, but a metaphysical connection to the universe.
this song on the front is a song about some paranormal creature chasing you. Subliminaly it could be about your nightmares and personal demons. Im new to Hypocrisy so are there songs layerd with meaning? or they strait forwerd.
This song is about the Hill Abduction. Check it out on Wikipedia. The Hill abduction is the first time that two people have been abducted by a UFO, and had vivid memories of what their experience was like. Its fascinating stuff
Almost all of Peter Tägtgren's lyrics have to do with aliens.
to me the "eraser" is the key to this song, what ever you make that out to be (deamon, aleins, sub-conscience or death its self) will be what this song depicts, i'd go with it as something that haunts a person and they cant escapt it so they have to run.
although the alien theory makes sense and is intruging.
holy fuck it hit me like a ten ton brick. this song is about how we all run away from death.
the subject of terror you forgot??? like who thinks of death coming for them all the time? or accepts it?
no memories from past = lost loved ones that are suppressed away?
death is confusing, its guaranteed in most peoples lives to pop up as a solution at one point??
and well "There is no time No time to regret The eraser's coming for your life You got to run Stay away from the light The eraser's here to twist your mind" its clearly obvious now? lol run away from the light, no time to regret? never regret life cuz death is going to take it all form you!
and the verse after the above, well kinda not fitting but remember now what its all about makes me think that to live life and know why the other died.
and the last verse fits in b/c well when you lose someone it burns deep twists and turns and you see them in your dreams
For me the meaning of Eraser song is clear. One theory says, that after we die, our memory, or soul memory, will be erased, so when we born again, to a new body, we cannot remember our past live(s). So, that is why they say, don´t go to the light after you die and after your spirit leaves your body, because that light (according to that theory), is a place, where our soul´s memory will be erased to prepare us to a new life. Some humans can remember their past lives, sometimes in dreams. You can call them aliens, or gods, maybe angels. But the light may feel holy and great, but if your memory will be erased, is that so good? That is why humans think that we only live once. I say, we live forever. Energy never dies.
