"Nothing At All" as written by Rob Thomas and Cori Rooney....
I am a victim of my time
A produce of my age
There's no choosing my direction
I was a holy man but now
With all my trials behind me
I am weak in my conviction

And so I walk to try to get away
Knowing that someday
I will finally have to face
The fear that will come from knowing that
The one thing I had left was you
And now you're gone

You were a victim of my crimes
A product of my rage
You were a beautiful distraction
I kept you locked away outside
Let misery provide
And now I am ashamed

And so I walk to try to find a space
Where I can be alone to live with my mistakes
And the fear that will come
From knowing that the one thing
I had left was you
And now you're gone

General CommentI'm not quite sure what the songs means- it kind of seems to me that he has messed up something and now realizes his mistakes and wishes he could fix everything. But, i'm not really sure. All I know is that I really like this song. My favorite part is when he says, "The one thing I had left was you, and now you're gone" It's like he is just opening his eyes to the damaged he caused, and realizes he is alone, and wants to do something- but he knows it's a little too late. I love it!

General CommentIts hard to be in a relationship when you have a lot of baggage and you're not as together as you should be.
I think the guy in the song did that. I think he entered a relationship at a bad point in his life and he messed it up.
But now he realizes his mistakes and he wants another chance.

General Commenti was actually surprised rob thomas wasn't in this CD, especially since he wrote (or helped write) this song & "You Are My Kind" with Seal. But beggars can't be choosers, and both songs are great, so i can't complain.

General CommentSounds like a nice guy who had values has done her wrong and gone against all the principles he stood for which made him so attractive to her in the first place. He is looking for a way to make it up to her for he knows she is his one true love and that he cannot bear to be without her.
