"Small Time Shot Away" as written by Robert Del Naja, Neil Davidge and Grantley Marshall....
Took her in
Dropped a line
Turned me on
We never leave each other
'cause we leave each other so cold
Makes it melt away
The easy part is taking yourself in
It's wartime everytime

Shot away
Wipe the smile from your face
It's getting in the way
It's wartime everytime

She cut me a line and she turned me on
She made it cool
you couldn't do it if you wanted to
It's wartime everytime, small talk everytime

It's my favorite chloroform
It's pill talk everytime, get it out the way
Friction wound
Shot away
Ricochet
We're like identical twins
Sucking on the same teat

Spitting out the same things
It's wartime everytime, small talk everytime
It's my favorite chloroform
It's pill time everytime, get it out the way
Friction wound
Ricochet
Line 'em up and knock 'em down
Shot way

General Commentits very obviously about shooting up & the relationship between two drug users. their relationship to the drugs their relationship to each other.

im not sure how to submit corrections but the song actually goes:
    Took her in
    Dropped a line
    Turn me on

&rather than "it makes a madder way"-
    Makes it melt away

&its not "She caught me on a lie and she turned me off/She made it cold".
    it is:
She cut me a line and she turned me on
    She made it cool

&the second time it says "its pillow talk every time", thats correct, but the first time it simply says "its pill talk every time". And its not "friction war" its "Friction wound".

instead of "getting out the way", its "Get it out the way".

General CommentSorry to say this, but many of these lyrics are wrong -they're all in the album booklet.

    Awesome song, but.

General CommentIt's about a relationship and how it protects him from the outside world, also about denial and how you can life a normal live with your partner when there's war everywhere and your conscious about that.
And it's pillow talk, not pill talk. But maybe there are some drugs involved, because of the "She cut me a line and she turned me on"-Line.

    "It's wartime everytime
    Small talk everytime
It's my favourite chloroform" is just great. It's like a life motto for me.
