"Pray Nightfall" as written by Nicholas John Holmes and Gregory John Mackintosh....
In my head this all is, In my head this all is
In my head this all is, In my head this all is
In my head...

I hold on tight for this mortal ride
Rest my head 'til the morning's coming down on me
I realise my own sacrifice
Rest my head before somebody's going out

In my head this all is, In my head this all is
In my head this all is, In my head this all is
In my head...

Pray nightfall release me
Then I could wander, Wander to deep sleep

Awake despite another mortal night
Rest my head for sun is shining down on me
I realise try to synchronize
Rest my head or somebody's going down

In my head this all is, In my head this all is
In my head this all is, In my head this all is
In my head...

Pray nightfall release me
Then I could wander, Wander to deep sleep

Trying to make things work
Trying to make things right
Trying to make things work
Without serendipity in my life

It's in my head...

Pray nightfall release me
Then I could wander, Wander to deep sleep

General CommentA brilliant song with some great lyrics. I always thought that the "Pray Nightfall release me" meant let the night come to cover the bad day. The wander part goes with the whole night part. So basically, having a depressing day with pain, hoping for it to end, only to have you wander then...

General CommentAlways thought it was about someone living with real pain or anguish (be that mental or physical) who lives with the hope, that it will end whilst they sleep. Thus sparing them the torture of a life over which they have no control, and removing the difficult decision of having to end it for themselves.
