"A Ghost" as written by Christopher Anthony John Martin, Guy Rupert Berryman, Jonathan Mark Buckland and William Champion....
Maybe I'm just a ghost
Disappear when anybody's close
Go through you when you travel
Travel over near

Maybe I'm just a ghost
Emptied by 'em, anybody knows
Maybe I'm on a rose
Or am I even here?

Yeah!

Every time I try to walk through walls
More walls appear
What's the point of feeling love for you
When you don't believe I'm here?
What's the point of trying to raise your voice
If no one ever hears?
Every time I try to pull you close
You disappear

Maybe I'm a ghost
Just a whisper in a path of smoke
A secret that nobody knows
No one will ever hear

Oh, maybe I'm a ghost
Specter on a roller coast
Fallen out of rose
Something people fear

Yeah!

And every time I thought I walk through walls
It's all become clear
What's the point of feeling love for you
When you don't believe I'm here?
What's the point saying "Rescue me!"
If no one ever hears?
Every time I try to pull you close
You disappear
Every time I try to pull you close
You disappear

And every time I thought I walk through walls
It's all become clear
Every time I try to pull you close
You disappear

Every time I try to pull you close
You disappear

General Commenta ghost can be one of two things, in my opinion. either someone who Switched, and is different from how they used to be, or someone who is never really there (even when they're right there). I think this is more about someone changing.... the line "cause time and time again i spoke, and I have spoken to you" makes me think he is the only one who can really reach the person he's singing about.

General Commentit's slow and theres piano. the version i have is of him singing it on a radio station while playing the piano. the best part in my opinion is the ending, because theres crescendo but thats just me. also on the version i have, he goes into singing "have yourself a merry little christmas"

General CommentGorgeous song. The lyrics don't make much sense - in a literal sense, it could be about someone who is deluded into thinking he is in love with a ghost! But the ghost could be a metaphor for someone who chooses to isolate themselves from others, so everyone else says they are untrustworthy or not likeable. And now that he loves her, people think that of him as well? Hmm. Just an interpretation. :)
