"Riot" as written by Tony Bert Nilsson, Gavin Ragnar Brynmor N Jones and Ola Nils Hakan ...
Right or wrong, it's just for fun. And who really cares, we could have a ball.
Well high or low, our hearts are cold. Well that's the only life we know.
Just because we don't trust, don't get down your knees and pray for us.
Yes we're young, but not that dumb, now we're ready like a loaded gun.

[Bridge]
And Sid was not that vicious, he killed his little mistress. Oh yeah, oh yeah.
And Johnny's not that rotten, in case you have forgotten.

[Chorus:]
We're gonna start a riot, a riot, a riot.
Well now we're gonna start a riot, a riot, a riot.
Well now we're gonna start a

My my my sweet riot, yeah oh haha

General CommentI think this song is about being tired of people judging you on thier values instead of letting you live by your own. It refers to two infamous Sex Pistols members by thier nicknames - how most people look at them - and tells how they really weren't like that but that they lived by what they considered right. The narrator in the song is talking about how they don't consider themselves to be so bad, and that sooner or later people like them will have thier day - thier "riot".

General CommentIt's basically about not taking crap just because they are not "supossed" to. They're saying just to let them live their lives, their way.

General Commentyeah I was wondering about the numbers..
I think this song is about meaningless sex and being masochistical..
'Right or wrong, it's just for fun.' ... 'Our hearts are cold. Well that's the only life we know.'

And about not giving a damn anymore about what other people think, they know they're messed up, and they're basically saying conformity has no authority.
