"We All Die" as written by and Cat Power Chan Marshall....
Here you go
Say it that she's ill
Here you go
Marriage and kids and
Drug
Addiction
All the lies aside
I believe I am the
Luckiest person alive
Hell we all die
Sometimes
Hell we all try
Somewhere
Money always sees
Money always draws
The light
Hope you can see
Through the beggars
In the clear
Do you happen to know
Where I am from?
I'm lost in this
Sore far from home
Far from home
Do you happen to know
Where I am from?
I'm lost
Far from mum
All the lies aside
I believe I am the
Luckiest person alive
Hell we all die
Sometimes
Hell we all try
Somewhere
Somewhere
Somewhere
Somewhere
Stand on my feet
So I can see yours
Standing on my hands
I found my way home
Standing on my head

Lyric CorrectionI think these are correct. But the sounds are ambiguous, as is Chan's style.

    Here you go
    Saying that she's out
    Here you go
    Marriage and kids and
    Drug
    Addiction
    All the lies aside
    I believe I am the
    Luckiest person alive
    Hell we all die
    Sometimes
    Hell we all try
    Somewhere
    Money always sees
    Money always draws
    The line(s?)
    Hope you can see
    Through the beggers
    And the pleaders
    Do you happen to know
    Where I am from?
    I'm lost in this
    Sore Earth from home
    Far from home
    Do you happen to know
    Where I am from?
    I'm lost
    Far from mom
    All the lies aside
    I believe I am the
    Luckiest person alive
    Hell we all die
    Sometimes
    Hell we all try
    Somewhere X4
(this next part goes too fast for me to get)
    Stand on my feet
    So I can see yours
    Standing on my hands
    I found my way home
    Standing on my head

    General CommentI love this song.
    Especially the begining.
I'm not sure what its about, my guess would be a drug addict maybe.

General Commentthere are many errors in the transcription! the worst is the fact that it's clearly "we all DRIVE somewhere" (not "try"). it's a very good song for driving. so it's probably about some person who drove away from their family somewhere in a panic/drug addiction and can't get home.

General CommentIt's not "drive". But there are some errors in these lyrics, and the enjambment is kind of annoying.

General Commenti actually think it is "try", but it's DEFINITELY not "drive". i also thought it was "HEY, we all die" not "hell"? and "far from MUM?" what the hell!? she's not british! it's obviously "far from HOME" like a few lines before that... but i think it's pretty next to impossible to get these exactly right, since there's no lyric book.

as for the meaning, this song is a complete enigma to me. i mean "we all die.... sometimes". haha that sounds kind of silly, but i do reallyyyy like this song because even though i don't know what it means, chan obviously does, and the delivery is very passionate.

General CommentHere you go sayin’ that she's out
Here you go, marriage and kids and drug addiction
All the lies aside I believe I am the luckiest person alive
    Hell, we all die sometimes
    Hell, we all try somewhere

    Money always sees
    Money always draws the lines
Hope you can see through the beggars and the pleaders
Do you happen to know where I am from?
I'm lost and left sore far from home
    Far from home
Do you happen to know where I am from?
    I'm lost far from Mom
All the lies aside I believe I am the luckiest person alive
    Hell, we all die sometimes
Hell, we all try somewhere, somewhere, somewhere, somewhere

Stand on my knees so I can see yours, standing on my hands I found my way home, standing on my head…

This song is about someone ending an adulterous relationship because they realized that it made them feel lost, sore, and dead. But now they feel lucky because they were able get out of the demeaning situation. They turned it upside-down and found their way back home.
