Deep inside these sleeping shallows
Far away where no-one goes now
Take my place in golden space
Of TV stars that no-one knows now
Deep deep mystery is talkin' to me
She's the giver of constant animation
All around and ready to make a new formation
You're the reason I'm in this world...

I don't believe in everything I see
Rivers of Avalon
Your supernatural energy
Part of my scenery
What I belong to is you ecstacy
Rivers of Avalon
Your faith unwavering is king

The clone of my own loneliness has got to fade
What am I known to?
Little garland in your starling
Loving waves that I've succumbed to

Deep deep mystery is talkin' to me
She's the giver of constant adulation
All around and ready to make a new formation
You're the reason I'm in this world...

I don't believe in everything I see
Rivers of Avalon
Your supernatural energy
Part of my scenery
What I belong to is your ecstacy
Rivers of Avalon
Your faith unwavering is king
What do you see in me?

Deep deep mystery is talkin' to me
She's the giver of constant animation
All around and ready to make a new formation
You're the reason I'm in this world...

I don't believe in everything I see
Rivers of Avalon
Your supernatural energy
Part of my scenery
What I belong to is your ecstacy
Rivers of Avalon
Your faith unwavering is king

I don't believe in everything I see
Rivers of Avalon
Your supernatural energy
All that it means...

i think this might actually be another song about Gloria, Anthony's drug counselor.

The lines: Take my place in golden space Of TV stars that no-one knows now Deep deep mystery is talkin' to me Shes the giver of constant animation

Show that he thinks gloria deserves all he has, because she gave him another chance at life.

Also, the line, "You're the reason I'm in this world" would obviously be she saved him.

What a great song. I love anything that has the RHCP name attached to it. This is probably my favorite B-side song

...first of all, i think the lyric is "your faith unwavering is KEY" not KING. ...given that the chili peppers recent work is concerned with spirituality, both in question and in celebration (often both-like "californication") it seems like this is one of the few which directly mentions the spiritual as a world view...both of the time they mask it with discussions of love or sociology...

I agree with sethm... it is key not king. It seems that this song is simply about a girl that he has fallen in love with.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
