Catch the tide at the blood
My TV screen is sick and blood
My walls and floors are it too
The night is comin' after you

Cram the innocent with screams of pain
It coming for you again and again
There's no escape
There's no way out

Catch, catch a horror taxi
I fell in love with my video nasty
Catch, catch a horror train
A freeze frame goin' to drive you insane

The axe is sharp
And the blade is keen
Creatures spillin' from the screen
Shadows fall and all is gloom
You're not so safe
In the safety of your room

All I want is to make a killing
To thrill and kill might be really thrilling
Why are my victims so unwilling
You can be sure that you won't see me
With that action meany

Catch, catch a horror taxi
I fell in love with my video nasty
Catch, catch a horror train
A freeze frame goin' to drive you insane

Catch, catch a horror taxi
I fell in love with my video nasty
Catch, catch a horror train
A freeze frame goin' to drive you insane

Catch, catch a horror taxi
I fell in love with my video nasty
Catch, catch a horror train
A freeze frame goin' to drive you insane

Great song and it's how I learned about the band (also through the Young Ones >_>). One of their more unique songs imo and I love it.

A whole bunch of these lyrics are wrong, sorry :( "With that action meany" is "careful with that axe, you meany" for instance, while the third line in 'my walls,"my floors - all red too" and "to thrill and kill might be really thrilling" is most probably "Driller Killer might be really thrilling" (a famous Video Nasty)

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
