"Life Goes On" as written by Del Anthony Gray, Thom Mchugh and Keith Follese....
life goes on and on and on
if you think it's al gone wrong
go on and on and on

life's a con a con a con
if you think you can't go on
go on and on and on

chorus :

but always remember,

this is the happiest day of your life

( repeat first verse, then : )

and as the years they move along
i see it now, there's something wrong
'cos life is for always

take your time
who cares what fools say
i don't mind

'cos this is my day
i'll live it my way
today, there's just today

repeat first verse

General Commenthaha this almost resembles Nirvana's "Come as You Are"

I think this was almost a pick-me-up song to the reaction of Ian Curtis/Malcolm Owen Deaths in the music world in 80/81. As far as I know the Damned had good relations with both of the singer's bands. Then again Im just guessing here, Im not sure when this song was written.
