If I could make this print talk
You made a deep mark/deep mark on me
and only saints say such things as those

General CommentOne of my favourites. Is there something a bit vampiric about it? "The marks on your throat", "oak & iron" which to me suggests a coffin... Just an idea. Spooky little song.

General Commenthe may be telling us how he feels confronting his ma in her house when he has shot up and is feeling "dead"... he can feel her possible recognition of his state and has misgivings but is numb to them so states them matter of factly as he can do nothing about the situation now he is in it.
