"Alive with the Glory Of Love" as written by and Max Bemis....
When I watch you, want to do you, right where you're standing yeah
Right on the foyer on this dark day right in plain view oh yeah
Of the whole ghetto, the boot-stomped meadows, but we ignore that yea
You're lovely baby, this war is crazy, I won't let you down oh no no no
I won't let them take you, won't let them take you hell no no
I won't let them take you, won't let them take you hell no no
No no no no no

And when our city vast and shitty
Falls to the Axis, yeah
They'll search the buildings collect gold fillings, wallets, and rings
But Miss Black Eyeliner you'd look finer with each day in hiding oh yea
Beneath the warm wood, ooh love me so good,
They won't hear us screw away the day, I'll make you say
(Alive, alive, alive with love)

No I won't let them take you, won't let them take you hell no no
Oh no I won't let them take you, won't let them take you
Our Treblinka is alive with the glory of love
Treblinka, alive with the glory of love yea

Should they catch us and dispatch us those separate work camps yeah
I'll think about you, I'll dream about you
I will not doubt you with the passing of time
Should they kill me your love will fill me as warm as the bullets
I'll know my purpose this all was worth this I won't let you down

No I won't, no I won't, no I won't
(Alive, alive, alive with love)
I won't let them take you, won't let them take you hell no no

General CommentWhen I went on wikipedia.com and I searched for them it said that this song is about the lead singer's grandmother who was/is a holocaust survivor and they wondered how it might have felt to be in the holocaust and get seperated from your loved ones/lovers so they wrote this song on how they felt it must have been like for people who were in the holocaust and in love

♥Whatever it may or may not mean I love this song regardless it's very catchy and addictive and the lyrics are so deep when you think about it♥

General CommentI like how everyone's calling it a Holocaust "theory", in an ironic way, because what do you all think Treblinka was? Its a great song, and even though the opening lyric might shock listeners at first.. when you take it in context and put yourself in the place of lovers, it's just mindblowing to think about. With our current war, and all the different wars going on, like the one in Sudan right now, this story is being replayed day after day. When you're talking about the power of love and uncontrollable forces pulling it apart, i think it's wrong to suggest that the physical side of love is in anyway demeaning to anyone's memory. ".. Right in plain view, oh yeah" isn't about being raunchy. It's about DEFIANCE. How can you say sex is ugly in the face of such a war? Any war.

    General CommentMatt Skiba is excellent.

Though, I would like anyone's input on what this song's part in the entire record as a whole is. You know, the whole satire on the industry thing, and the whole "rock opera" thing. How does it fit in with that? I read somewhere that the song was about his grandparents finding love and what not, dont know if thats true. But some real input would be helpful, none of the "OMG I LOVE THIS SONG ITS THE BEST SONG EVER BESIDES A WALK THROUGH HELL OMG OMGOMG I LOVE SAY ANYTHING". Thanks.

i have a really long, beautiful infatuation about this song.

so i've been grounded. for about two months. and this boy i've been snekaing out wiht sends me snippet sof this song in texts rather often. i am his bonnie and he is my clyde. i am the belle to his serbastian. and i told him im on the holocaust diet (lots of soup) and so we always play up the nazi camp story, how was the soup today, the factory was rather cold, etc. and i love this song for it. and it describes my situation perfectly.

ARE YOU F*ING KIDDING ME? YOU'RE ALL OF 17? WHAT THE HELL DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ANY OF THIS? YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE THE EMOTIONAL OR MENTAL CAPABILITY TO SAY ANYTHING REMOTELY INTELLECTUAL. GIVE YOURSELF 10 YEARS, THEN POST SOMETHING ABOUT A SONG. UNTIL THEN HAVE FUN BEING SOMEONE'S "BONNIE" YA DOUCHE.
