Has your life got you down?
Are you feeling lost and blue?
I'm thinking maybe a career change
Is the best answer for you

You've never lived
Never known true romance
Until you've been taught
The steps to the death dance

Benning, Georgia is gonna teach you how to move!

Take your rights back!
Stand up for liberty!
This is the era when we give the world a better way
Take your rights back!
Shut down the SOA!
The setting son can burn a brilliant vibrant flame

Torture, rape, murder, and death
Are all waiting for you
Democracy subversion?
Well, they got that covered too!

Grad names on the walls
Most infamous of all
Dictators/coup leaders
Learn well someday
You may be ranked with
These AWESOME killers!

General CommentThis is a song about the "School of the Americas"(SOA). It is a training camp set up by the US government in Fort Benning Georgia. It's purpose it quite simple: to produce terror and death squad out of radicals from Latin American nations. This is meant to destablize any revolutionary ideas and people so that the Americas can remain under US control.

General CommentYep, you're right. That's what Justin says in the Rock Against Bush booklet. Isn't that amazing that this place exists? God bless America...

(Spoken Word by Father Roy Bourgeois)
We can see our country at work with latin america on the side of the men with the guns, the sweatshops, the IMF of the world bank

    They're selling war as peace
    STRIKE!
Do we need it in our name?
    STRIKE! STRIKE BACK!
Tax dollars from the war machine
    STRIKE!
The people can't leave me in stains!

    (Spoken Word continued)
We are on the side of the poor. We are on the side of life and hope, and nonviolence

    AHHHHH!

    Take our rights back!
    Stand up for liberty!
This is the era when we give the world a better way!
    Take our rights back!
    Shutdown the SOA!
The setting sun can burn a brilliant vibrant flame!

    Vibrant flame!

General CommentIf anyone is interested, there is a protest in mid to late november every year at the school. It is a massive protest, nearly 15,000 people came this year, with Martin Sheen and Susan Sarandon among them

I have gone with my school's Amnesty International group for the last two years, and plan to get a church group at my college to go down as well.

soaw.org is the website for the organization School Of Americas Watch, a group started by famed peace activist and former Ft Benning Chaplain, Father Ray Bouregious.

We do not protest the military base. We protest the terror school located inside that base. The SOA vigil is often mistaken for an anti-military protest, but if the SOA were located in a zoo, we would protest at the zoo, for one example.

oh yeah...props to Anti-Flag for trying to raise awareness about the death school
