"free" as written by Cunnie Williams and Christof Littmann....
Let's go

Everybody needs to start their own fire
Everybody needs a riot of their own
Everybody needs to be something they are not
Everybody needs to go it alone (Because)

Living so free is a tragedy
When you can't be what you want to be
Living so free is a tragedy
When you can't see what you need to see (Okay)

All the time spent hanging on to anything
All the time spent knowing that they are wrong
All the time wasted, stolen back, innocent
You won't get a second more so move it along (Because)

Living so free is a tragedy
When you can't be what you want to be
Living so free is a tragedy
When you can't see what you need to see

Living so free is a tragedy
When you can't be what you want to be
Living so free is a tragedy
When you can't see what you need to see

Wishing and hoping and thinking it's you
That's got this all under control
Never a minute has passed you all by
When they haven't invaded your soul

It's not something you can hold
It's not something you own
It's not something you can buy or steal
You've got it when your alone

Being free is a tragedy
When you don't know yourself
Being free is a tragedy
When you don't know who you are

Living so free is a tragedy
When you can't be what you want to be
Living so free is a tragedy
When you can't see what you need to see

Living so free is a tragedy
When you can't be what you want to be
Living so free is a tragedy
When you can't see what you need to see

Lets go
Hey, hey, hey
Alright then
This is the story of your life man

General CommentI think it's about personal freedom and rights. How are we free if we are so controlled that we can't shape our own lives? In one aspect, I see it as a political statment, although I'm unsure of what is being said exactly. Is he discussing propaganda when he says "Living so free is a tragedy, when you can't see what you need to see"? And the last few lines about Americans being trigger happy, is that a slam on the war? I really don't know PM5K's political standing, but it's a great song nonetheless.

General Commenti think it means that in today's world, it's so hard to be yourself because today's society is to uniformed.

General CommentWHOAAA!!! this song rocks.. I thought it sucked at first .. but what the hell...it motherfing rocks!!!!.. I agreee with Flaming munk, society is so uniformed that ppl cant have that chance to be free, to chase their purpose and live their own lives. you sacfiice your life to live like other people, If you become what you want to be, you are threateend. More like clones spawned on one purpose. born-play-get a job-marry-and the best part DIE... thats what people think being free is all about ..and thats the tragedy about it. Because if you try to change the norm, you are not as free as you think ..

    General CommentI agree.
There is no where in this world where you can be what you want to be. I wish people could just mind there own business.

I can't be who I want to be at all. Parents restrict you, the government restricts you, peers pressure you, it's ridiculous. People shove there beleives down your throat and it's impossible to grasp something for yourself because you have everyone influencing you. And the government is brainwashing us all, it's depressing.

General CommentI think it's about how we're told we're free, but when you think about it, everyone is trying to control you. From your parents, to your teachers, to your boss, to the government, and it's about how being "free" is a tragedy when you still can't be what you want to be, or be yourself in some cases.

    My favorite lines are:
"Never a minute has passed you all by
When they haven’t invaded your soul"
-They try to invade you and control you.-

This is just my opinion but all the same, I hold a very deep respect for this song.
