"You'll Think Of Me" as written by Darrell R. Brown, Dennis Matkosky and Ty Lacy....
I woke up early this morning around four a.m.
With the moon shining bright as headlights on the interstate
I pulled the covers over my head and tried to catch some sleep
But thoughts of us kept keeping me awake
Ever since you found yourself in someone else's arms
I've been tryin' my best to get along
But that's okay
There's nothing left to say, but

Take your records, take your freedom
Take your memories I don't need 'em
Take your space and take your reasons
But you'll think of me
And take your cap and leave my sweater
'Cause we have nothing left to weather
In fact I'll feel a whole lot better
But you'll think of me, you'll think of me

I went out driving trying to clear my head
I tried to sweep out all the ruins that my emotions left
I guess I'm feeling just a little tired of this
And all the baggage that seems to still exist
It seems the only blessing I have left to my name
Is not knowing what we could have been
What we should have been
So

Take your records, take your freedom
Take your memories I don't need 'em
Take your space and take your reasons
But you'll think of me
And take your cap and leave my sweater
'Cause we have nothing left to weather
In fact I'll feel a whole lot better
But you'll think of me

Someday I'm gonna run across your mind
Don't worry, I'll be fine
I'm gonna be alright
While you're sleeping with your pride
Wishin' I could hold you tight
I'll be over you
And on with my life

So take your records, take your freedom
Take your memories I don't need 'em
And take your cap and leave my sweater
'Cause we have nothing left to weather
In fact I'll feel a whole lot better
But you'll think of me

So take your records, take your freedom
Take your memories I don't need 'em
Take your space and all your reasons
But you'll think of me
And take your cap and leave my sweater
'Cause we got nothing left to weather
In fact I'll feel a whole lot better
But you'll think of me, you'll think of me, yeah

And you're gonna think of me
Oh someday baby, someday

General CommentAfter 11 years together, my husband left me in July for another woman. Around that same time, I discovered this song. When he first left, I was destroyed. Couldn't eat...couldn't sleep...lost thirty pounds. The more time goes on, the stronger I get, and I do know that one day he'll think of me....and he'll want me back, and i'll be on with my life. They laugh at me at work....when it comes on the radio i turn it up and sing along. Loudly and badly. This song is the ultimate "what does not kill me will make me strong" song.

General CommentThis song is definitely one of his best...it's basically a polite F-you to a girl who didn't appreciate him and cheated on him...about moving on and knowing that this isnt the end of you, you'll be fine...but maybe, just maybe the one who ruined things will feel guilty about it while you're moving on. And the best line in the whole song, the one that hits home: "It seems the only blessing I have left to my name/Is not knowing what we could have been/What we should have been." So wistful but empowering...

General CommentI think this song is honestly the BEST song i have ever come across. I love it. He's talking about how he just needs to move on, and he's singing about how hard it is to get past all the memories. he doesn't want to move on, but he has no choice, and he's telling the woman that he's gonna run across her mind eventually, and she's gonna miss him and realize what a mistake she's made...but there will be no second chance for her cuz he'll be gone.

General CommentLike multiple people that have responded I know exactly what he's trying to say. My boyfriend of over a year left me for a girl he dated before me. This song describes everything I've been going through.

General CommentAmazing song. The fact that it's not angry or aggressive, it's got a calm and resolute tone to it. He isn't bitter and he doesn't belittle his ex, he's already moving on. the singer is absolutely confidant that he'll be fine and the person who left him will be the one who'll always regret their actions makes it so empowering and inspiring.

General CommentI think that this song is about a love that didnt happen. She fell for somebody else and left him high and dry. At first he was so upset, but he moved on and when she tried to get him back, after she realized she made a mistake, he didnt want her anymore. He realized he deserved better and that everything happens for a reason, even though he missed her terribly

General CommentVery nice song...basically the song is about what i think...a relationship...of course the girl in the song i suppose left him for somebody else, "Ever since you found yourself in someone else's arms" and he's having a hard time dealing with it, but at the same time he's telling her to take everything n just go...and that she will think of him...practically saying she'll regret leaving because on down the road...she'll be wanting him, and he'll be over her...and won't want her anymore...possibly may find him someone new, when she's left with nothing...it was her choice...he's basically saying she'll learn to live with it...regret...on down the line "Someday I'm gonna run across your mind
Don't worry, I'll be fine, I'm gonna be alright While you're sleeping with your pride, Wishing I could hold you tight, I'll be over you...and on with my life" same as hinting you made your bed, now you'll have to sleep in it.......uh huh

I'm sure alot of people can relate to the words and the meaning behind this song, he probably wrote this song about himself, someone probably left him...very beautiful if that IS the case, because he can actually write about it...and on go with his life...what more to say...Keith Urban is a wonderful writer/singer :)
