Celebrate the dead
Bankroll the office party
on hospital beds
Our blood in these skyscraper walls
Life becomes commodity in purgatory's halls
Run the race backwards we're the first to finish last
The others will lap as we just laugh
Tie the words together of heroes and hate
Die the day our classics will fade away
Green robot shells play show and tell
Set it off, do it for yourself
the currency of time on the company dime
Contract business casualty sign on the line
At the end of the world
The cities sing in harmony tonight
Monday I drowned out
Drowned out with worker bees

General Commenti think this song is about the typical workers life, on how you should not take everything so seirously.. "Run the race backwards we're the first to finish last. The others will lap as we just laugh" thats a great line and the wunder years are so fucking fresh, people really should be commenting a lot more on these guys...

General CommentThey broke up some time ago, Although the singer/guitarist and sedond guitarist moved here to Chicago and formed the band called "the Ghost" which are similiar in style to the Wunder Years, so if you liked the Wunder Years definately check out The Ghost, they are great
