Over and over your blood covers me.
How many times will it take me to see?
I am so dangerous.
I am so irresponsible.

Here I am, broken again,
but then you show me,
you're wearing the scars that save.
How can you see me, as something so lovely.
Cause it's killing me that I am to blame.

Over and over It falls back to me.
My knees hit the floor and it's easy to see.
I am so arrogant.
I feel so unforgivable.

Here I am, broken again,
but then you show me,
you're wearing the scars that save.
How can you see me, as something so lovely.
Cause it's killing me that I am to blame.

This is my same old song.
The one where I do it all wrong.
And I will try with all that I am
to get it right in the end.

This is my same old song.
The one where I do it all wrong.
And I will fight with all that I am
to get it right.

    General CommentWOW that's a surprize...no comments!

well the title pretty mush says it all!
Kids in the way are my most FAVORITE band, mainly
because ALL their songs relate to me and my walk with God...and I also like it b/c he talks like David from the Bible...yeah he's broken but he reaches this place were all he can do is cry out to God and I have been the many-a-time! and it's not a fun place to be, but I'd rather be broken and begging for forgivness then being broken and neglecting forgivness!
yeah you guys shouls DEFINITLY read the whole book of Psalms, it is and amazing book in the Bible, and the story of David, I think it's found in like 1 samuale or something..idk but those are two AMAZING books of the OT.
    God
    Bless,
    Jess

General CommentThe scars that save are obviously the scars of Jesus when he was crucified.

"How can you see me, as something so lovely" Dispite how far removed I am from God's vision, he still loves me.

"Cause it's killing me that I am to blame"
No matter how hard I try, my sins are to blame for his scars...

I can not be perfect but...
"I will fight with all that I am
to get it right in the end."

General CommentI did this song as a human video for Fine Arts competition about a year ago, and at the time I'd been going through sort of a rough patch and on the day of the competition, I was in the middle of the first verse and all the emotions from the song and what i had been going through hit me. The performance becoming more personal than it had been before

General CommentAs Christians, we tend to fall in our past missed behaviors, or a self worthless image of us. Or, the fact that we are nothing but worms due to what we find to be in His presence....His Scars are always there to tell us that He has paid it all. There is no longer a need to continue on thinking the way we do. His perfect Sacrifice finished All debt. We must strive to accept His Joy in our lives to continue in this world he gave us. As for the unbeliever, there is HOPE still - is what this song states. that even though it's the same 'old song' it is not a reason to accept a death route, but accept the True Fact that His Scars reflect freedom for humanity.
