"Damage Is Done" as written by and Zack Wylde....
I paved this road
I broke myself in two
This I know
Up and down, In between
There's nothing I haven't seen

All these scars which bear my name, yeah
My eyes are wide, ain't nothing's the same, yeah
I tried to run, but the damage is done, yeah
The damage is done
The damage is done

Where I've gone and where I've been
One only knows
One more mountain, one more mile
I'll do as I'm told

All these scars which bear my name, yeah
My eyes are wide, ain't nothing's the same, yeah
I tried to run, but the damage is done, yeah
The damage is done
The damage is done

Oh yeah, oh yeah
The damage is done
Oh yeah, oh yeah
The damage is done
Oh yeah, oh yeah
The damage is done
Oh yeah, oh yeah
The damage is done

All these scars which bear my name, yeah
My eyes are wide, ain't nothing's the same, yeah
I tried to run, but the damage is done, yeah
The damage is done
The damage is done

Oh yeah, oh yeah
The damage is done
Oh yeah, oh yeah
The damage is done
Oh yeah, oh yeah
The damage is done
Oh yeah, oh yeah
The damage is done
Oh yeah, oh yeah
The damage is done
Oh yeah, oh yeah
The damage is done
Oh yeah, oh yeah
The damage is done

General CommentI don't think it's so defined...

But those who can relate to it well know perfectly its meaning, in different context perhaps, but with a universal result.
    Indeed, the damage is done...

General Commenthmm, this is a great song, nothing?

anyways, this is one of my favorite songs by BLS
its really deep from the point of view of someone who is lost in the world of hate, and just doesnt know what to do, trying to find a way to redeem himself, but of course, the damage is done and no one can escape the truth

My InterpretationPeople can interpret it however they want. but when i listen to this song it just screams layne staley to me. "my eyes are whey, ain't nothings the same." cuz i think shortly before layne's death he realized that the damage was already done and he was too far gone to save himself from his heroin addiction. if it is...outstanding tribute.

General CommentI think its pretty obvious. You cant take some things back. Well you can say youre sorry, but the damage is done.
