"Nobody's Home" as written by Avril Ramona Lavigne, Ben Moody and Don Gilmore....
I couldn't tell you
Why she felt that way
She felt it everyday
And I couldn't help her
I just watched her make
The same mistakes again

What's wrong, what's wrong now
Too many, too many problems
Don't know where she belongs
Where she belongs

She wants to go home
But nobody's home
That's where she lies
Broken inside
With no place to go
No place to go
To dry her eyes
Broken inside

Open your eyes
And look outside
Find the reasons why
You've been rejected
And now you can't find
What you left behind

Be strong, be strong now
Too many, too many problems
Don't know where she belongs
Where she belongs

She wants to go home
But nobody's home
That's where she lies
Broken inside
With no place to go
No place to go
To dry her eyes
Broken inside

Her feelings she hides
Her dreams she can't find
She's losing her mind
She's falling behind

She can't find her place
She's losing her faith
She's falling from grace
She's all over the place, yeah

She wants to go home
But nobody's home
That's where she lies
Broken inside
With no place to go
No place to go to
To dry her eyes
Broken inside

She's lost inside, lost inside
She's lost inside, lost inside

General CommentAlthough there's nothing in the song that specifically points to long-term depression (everyone feels lonely or unwanted sometimes), that's what I get from it. As in, the girl becomes depressed, and it changes her. She's not the same person that she used to be, and thus starts to feel like she doesn't belong anywhere. She's lonely, and everything seems hopeless. After being like that for so long, she's feels like she's "falling behind" and doesn't know how to feel better or get back on track. The "nobody's home" line could refer to her feeling like she has no one to go to for comfort or help.

Song MeaningWell, I'm gonna note down what I feel this song means.

I couldn't tell you why she felt that way,
    She felt it every day.
    And I couldn't help her,
I just watched her make the same mistakes again.
(I think the girl is watching herself feel all alone and is watching how she's making the same mistakes over and over again and still continues to do it even though it's wrong).

    What's wrong, what's wrong now?
    Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
That's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry her eyes.
    Broken inside.
(There's just too many problems in her life that she just can't seem to control. She doesn't know where she belongs meaning she doesn't know where to turn to or who to turn to. She wants to go home, but even home isn't a place for her to feel happy again, which implies the part where it says, "That's where she lies, broken inside." She just doesn't know where to go and feels heartbroken).

Open your eyes and look outside, find the reasons why
You've been rejected, and now you can't find what you left behind.
    Be strong, be strong now.
    Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry her eyes.
    Broken inside.
(She needs to look at why the world hasn't accepted her for the way she is, and because of that, she left so many things that were important to her, behind. She needs to move on with her life and be strong, but then again, her problems and loneliness seem to get in the way of her life. She can't tell anyone how she feels because she knows they won't understand).

    Her feelings she hides.
    Her dreams she can't find.
    She's losing her mind
    She's falling behind.
    She can't find her place.
    She's losing her faith
    She's fallen from grace.
    She's all over the place.
(She tries to hide how she feels maybe with a smile on her face, her feelings she hides. She can't find her dreams, all the things she ever wanted in her life, which can also be love. She's losing herself in this fight, losing her mind. She's fading away slowly, falling behind. She doesn't know where she's supposed to be, can't find her place. She doesn't know where her life is going to take her, losing her faith. She's fallen from all the things she used to believe in, fallen from grace. She's just in such a messy situation that's there's just too much to mention, all over the place.

She's lost inside, lost inside...oh oh.
    She's lost inside, lost inside...oh oh..yeah.
(She's still doesn't know where she has to go and is still suffering from her past. Hopefully, she'll be happy again).

General CommentPunk is overrated. It depends on how you descripe Punk. If you think Punk is Green Day, then Lavigne is not punk. I do not think she is punk, in that sense. Though she is bit of a rebel. No matter what she is, this is a good song.

General Commentim not really sure what this song means. but from the lyrics, it seems like its about this girl who is very lost and confused about her life. she keeps making the same mistake over and over again. and she keeps making the same mistake over and over again because she gets attached quickly i guess. and she does this repeatedly to many guys who dont feel the same about her.so shes had her heart broken repeatedly. and while she was so into going after these guys, she pushed away everything and everybody close to her such as some of her friends and family. and in the end she was left with nothing and those who she used to turn to dont want to have anything to do with her anymore. maybe....idk..lol

anyway, this song is the shitz. i love it!

General CommentA sad, lost girl that has not place to go. She doesn't belong anywhere, she feels like no one cares, she has left everything behind.
