"High & Dry" as written by and Thomas Edward/o'brien Yorke....
Two jumps in a week, I bet you think that's pretty clever don't you, boy?
Flying on your motorcycle, watching all the ground beneath you drop
You'd kill yourself for recognition; kill yourself to never ever stop
You broke another mirror; you're turning into something you are not

Don't leave me high, don't leave me dry
Don't leave me high, don't leave me dry

Drying up in conversation, you will be the one who cannot talk
All your insides fall to pieces, you just sit there wishing you could still make love
They're the ones who'll hate you when you think you've got the world all sussed out
They're the ones who'll spit at you, you will be the one screaming out

Don't leave me high, don't leave me dry
Don't leave me high, don't leave me dry

It's the best thing that you have ever had
It's the best thing that you have ever had

Don't leave me high, don't leave me dry
Don't leave me high, don't leave me dry

General CommentThis is a good cover. I enjoy both Radiohead and Jamie Cullum so I'm not picking either sides. Jamie has his own style and he did awesomely well in giving such a song by a unique group a jazz twist. Kudos to Jamie and Kudos to Radiohead for writing such a great song!

General Commentbloody awesome, only just heard radioheads version, bloody amazin too. i dnt get hw ppl can write such good lyrics! i think its about sum1 in a relationship, n things r goin reli gd, bt them the other person breaks it off n theyr left 'high n dry' and it was 'the best thing theyve eva had' and as its 'gne away' theyr reli upset n askin 4 another chance kinda thing.

General Commentok Jamie Cullum is far from average it takes a shit load of creativity to change an already popular song and its a huge risk n shit
Although i think its stupid how people make carreers out of making covers especially from established artists whoose songs are already recognised and thats y even tho Jcull is 1 of my favorite artists i want to look at HIS lyrics n shit bcuz i think catching tales lyrics r awsome and he shud stick 2 his own shit and theres less covers on catching tales

General CommentI think this song is about a man who carries on cheating on his girlfriend no realising he would have to face the consequences:

    'Two jumps in a week
I bet you think that's pretty clever don't you boy?':
You've had two girls in a week and you think what you are doing is very clever.

    'Flying on your motorcycle,
Watching all the ground beneath you drop':
cheating on your girlfriend by going out with so many other women has made you become so immune to guilt.

    'You'd kill yourself for recognition,
Kill yourself to never ever stop'
you'd do anything to out with so many girls at once, you'd do anything to make sure you never stop being a 'player'.

    'You broke another mirror,
You're turning into something you are not':
another person has found out about your affairs and now you have to apologise to you're girlfriend again which you don't usually do.

'Don't leave me high, don't leave me dry': you've now become prone to guilt your wrong doing as left you in a difficult situation.

    'Drying up in conversation,
You will be the one who cannot talk':
you don't know what to say to your girlfriend anymore to make her stay with you and just like your girlfriend (when you were cheating) you will be suffering in silence.

'All your insides fall to pieces,
You just sit there wishing you could still make love':
you're in so much pain your gilfriend has left, you wish she could come back so you could love her like before.

'They're the ones who'll hate you
When you think you've got the world all sussed out':
the people who know the bad you were doing before were the ones who grassed on you when you thought what you were doing was okay and you had nothing to worry about like your girlfriend finding out.

'They're the ones who'll spit at you,
You will be the one screaming out':
those people are the ones who will get the satisfaction because they knew what was coming because you didn't alter your ways and you'll be the one regretting that you didn't listen when you were warned.

'It's the best thing that you ever had,
The best thing that you ever, ever had
It's the best thing that you ever had,
The best thing you ever had has gone away':
Your girlfriend was the best thing you ever had and now she's gone away.

General CommentYeah, It's about suicide. I love Jamie Cullum. He did such an awesome job with this song. I like it more than the Radiohead one honestly. But both are amazing.
