Well I was lost in conversation
When he called you were sick and blue
All that I could do
Is make your fears come true

You see I’m sick and tired of masturbation
Sick and tired of all this yucky blue
All that I can do is make your fears come true

Then multiply
Multiply
Tears will multiply

Well I was lost in contemplation
When he called you could not get through
And all that doll could do
Is make your fears come true

You see I’m sick and tired of our confrontations
Sick and tired, you stick to me like glue
All that I could do
Is make your fears come true

Then multiply
Multiply
Tears will multiply
Multiply

Your love for me will die

General Commentone of my absolute favorites

I think he wants to leave he person he's together with --> "all that I can do is make your fears come true" and "tears will multiply"
He's just sick of the relationship and wants to end it and even though his partner will be sad in the beginning, (s)he will eventually get over it.
In the first verse it sounds like his partner is leaving him alone too often (he's often feeling blue and has to masturbate alone instead of having sex). And when his partner is here, they're just having arguments --> (2nd verse)

I like the defiant tone of the song. It's not like the typical angry "I leave you because I hate you"-song, it sounds more like he really wanted the relationship to work and tried everything but can't handle the behavior of his partner any more and is tired of caring about feelings now. It's like "go f*** yourself, you've been playing around enough with my feelings, I leave you!"

General CommentJust a few lyrics corrections (or at least what I heard):

Sick and tired of all this yucky blue
    should be
Sick and tired of all this yuppie flu

And all that doll could do
    should be
And all that call could do

You see I’m sick and tired of our confrontations
Sick and tired, you stick to me like glue
    should be
You see I'm sick of all our confrontations
Sick of how you stick to me like glue.

Mut my take on the song is that the singer is growing closer to another person, and his partner is very suspicious about it (When he called, you were sick and blue). His partner becomes suspicious about everything the singer does. The singer decides he's had enough of the suspicion, the lack of sex (masturbation thing, like Luna said) and decides to finally leave. He knows that his partner will be broken up at first, but that their love was superficial and they'll get over it (Your love for me will die).

General Commenthes talking about their arguments and confrontations and how his partner is too clingy/attached he wants to end the relationship which he is clearly unhappy in (masturbation and feeling of "blue") so what he does is makes his partners fears come true that which im guessing is that he is having an affair and so tells her this and therefor she will not love him anymore ("your love for me will die")

General Commenti think the song is about being in a shitty relationship be it a friendship or a romantic relationship. shitty because one person is always letting the other down and doesn't care about the relationship and is bored. the song seems like it is in the perspective of the person who is always a let down as he/she never answers the other's calls and is "sick and tired" which in effect makes the other one realise that their relationship is falling apart: "and all that call could do is make your fears come true". they dont want to face what is happening and thus the person sticks to him/her "like glue".
eventually the love the other has will die because they will relise and face up to the situation.
i think the song has a general feeling of depression aswell.

but like all placebo lyrics they fit into so many situations it could really mean anything
    amazinggg song however :)
