This is one of my favorite songs. https://fnfgo.io
Oh love, hang on,
I've gotta say this right
'Cause I only get one shot,
Once in my life
'Cause I want to grow old with you
And I want you to hold me forever
Do you think that you love me?
'Cause I do, I do, I do
Do you want that forever?
'Cause I do, I do, I do
Do you want me to share your life with you?
I do, I do, I do
Oh love, hang on,
If you're willing,
I'll be strong
And I'll give you the life that you deserve
'Cause I want you to know all of me
And I, I want to hold you forever
Do you think that you love me?
'Cause I do, I do, I do
Do you want that forever?
'Cause I do, I do, I do
Do you want me to brave this world for you?
I do, I do, I do
I do, I do, I do, I do
I've gotta say this right
'Cause I only get one shot,
Once in my life
'Cause I want to grow old with you
And I want you to hold me forever
Do you think that you love me?
'Cause I do, I do, I do
Do you want that forever?
'Cause I do, I do, I do
Do you want me to share your life with you?
I do, I do, I do
Oh love, hang on,
If you're willing,
I'll be strong
And I'll give you the life that you deserve
'Cause I want you to know all of me
And I, I want to hold you forever
Do you think that you love me?
'Cause I do, I do, I do
Do you want that forever?
'Cause I do, I do, I do
Do you want me to brave this world for you?
I do, I do, I do
I do, I do, I do, I do

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version.
Great version of a great song,

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
uhh yeah this is from the four seasons album and and its called lets hang on

download it at singingfish.com all you American DC lovers! Anyways, this song is a great one. I cant beleive how many good songs one band and/or person can put out. I love it.
I want this song played at my wedding!!! Chris writes the most wonderful songs that I've heard in years. Dashboard is the best band I've heard in a while and I am so glad that I bought their cd without knowing them.
why does everything have to have a methaphor or some "double entendre"? This song is straight to the point. Chris loves the girl hes singing about and thats it. Theres nothing else. Love is cool, which therefore makes this song cool buddy.
This songs is kind of. Uh. Freaky to me. I don't know why. I think it's the melody. It seems ... off.
Good song nonetheless, just not one of my favorites.
"this is by far the worst d/c song ever. the music is boring, and the lyrics are even more boring."
thats dumb. the guitar is pretty in this song and the lyrics are simple for a reason. he really doesnt feel the need to be metaphoric here (most of his lyrics arent metaphoric anyway).. he just wants to straight out tell the girl he loves her.
for some reason this song makes me sad.. it seems like there's a hint of longing and fear.. fear of rejection in his voice. in fact this song feels very real to me.
