"Undone" as written by and Eddie Vedder....
Last stop on the westcoast line
South of the northern border
One small corner on my mind
Everybody, they know me there

Don't get any second glances
Chances are that they don't care
The world has come undone
Like to change it everyday

Change don't come at once
It's a wave building before it breaks
Can't wait for election day
Witness the occupation

Corporations rule the day
Well you know the pendulum throws
Farther out to the one side, swinging
Has to sweep back the other way

The world has come undone
Another day and who can wait
Change don't come at once
It's a wave building before it breaks

All this hope and nowhere to go
This is how I used to feel, but no more
The world has come undone
Like a game that few can play

Change don't come from one
It's a wave building before it breaks.

General CommentObviously about the political system, although possibly about something else as well. "Well you know the pendulum throws
Farther out to the one side swinging
Has to sweep back the other way" is so deep.

General CommentThe song is sort of a call to americans to register to vote and gradually "change" the country by voting the president,...

Whom they obviously do not like,...

But aside from being a call to action,...

It's an amazing song, filled with imagery, and a kick ass solo,...

not quite as amazing as the other RA b-side Down, but a great solo nontheless,...

General CommentIf you're from the pacific nw you can get this song, otherwise I'm not sure it translates. Any time I drive back up that way I play this in the car, it perfectly captures the different feeling in that region of the country. He's talking about how the people there are different. The tie-in referring to change not coming at once, building is the key.

He's saying that as bad as things are overall he feels optimistic and confident because this one place is this way and it can spread this attitude of acceptance and open-ness elsewhere in time, like this area up in the corner of the country is a building wave that must eventually wash over the rest of the country.

This song does a great job of showing the connection between the personal and political.

General CommentThis song is a well-kept secret on Lost Dogs, tucked between well-known songs. It has a very 2000-era Springsteen feel to it, both lyrically and musically.
