"Joe's Head" as written by Angelo T. Petraglia, Ivan Nathan Followill and Anthony Caleb Followill....
Blistered cracked and bleeding
Cold no one should know
Rain falls down a freezing
And sticking like a snow

Lingering suspicions
Screaming in my head
Lies all mixed up with omissions
Aw welcome home again
It's too late for apologies they're falling at my feet

This is just the way of the world Joe said
I had to put a bullet into his head
And then lit up a cigarette
Decided to call his fat friend Fred
Well he said Fred I just killed a man
Caught him laying with my girlfriend
And now they're both dead, people can be so cold when they're dead

Calling all the neighbors
Time to make amends
Whiskey floods the table
Aw good friends 'til the end
They're making silly faces and it's tasting bitter sweet

This is just the way of the world Joe said
I had to put a bullet into his head
And then lit up a cigarette
Decided to call his fat friend Fred
Well he said Fred I just killed a man
Caught him laying with my girlfriend
Now they're both dead, people can be so cold when they're dead

It's too late for apologies they're falling at my feet

This is just the way of the world Joe said
I had to put a bullet into his head
And then lit up a cigarette
Decided to call his fat friend Fred
Well he said Fred I just killed a man
Caught him laying with my girlfriend
And now they're both dead, people can be so cold when they're dead

This is just the way of the world Joe said
I had to put a bullet into his head
And then lit up a cigarette
Decided to call his fat friend Fred
Well he said Fred I just killed a man
Caught him laying with my girlfriend
And now they're both dead, people can be so cold when they're dead

General CommentI agree with Heart Breaker to an extent, although you have to take into concideration the fact that it seems in this case the roles are reversed, as in the Jimi Hendrix song "Hey Joe" (Great Song) Koe is the one who is killed his girl friend, which can be show with the line "'Hey Joe i heard you shot your woman down' then 'yes i did i shot her you know i heard she was messing around.... etc" In the kings of leon song it seem that joe is being killed by another man whome Joe is sleeping with. I don't exactly know what to make of this but... meh ill get back to you all. Anyone feel free to contridict me or finish my arguement for me.

General CommentThe lyrics in this song sound strangely like the lyrics in Hey Joe by Jimi Hendrix
Hey Joe was about a guy killing his wife coz he found out she was cheating on him and so is this song and his name was Joe too--WHAT A COINCIDENCE!!
