we watch in silence
the double standards of the west
stripped of life chances
put your needs before the rest
the heavy cost of progress
through a system of free trade
rise against the global theft
gain control of our fate
you've gotta fight if you wanna stay alive
we can't depend on time to alter minds
its clear we've gotta fight to stay alive
looking to the future
is pointless whilst we haven't changed
we're reactionary
and our first for war is the same
convert acts of violence
and the NAFTA laissez-faire
we've entrenched in the post-modern
and it seems we just don't care

General Commentthis is a great song, as is the band in general, this song makes me think of activisim 'double standards of the west' imo links to the opinion held by many that bush is the biggest international terrorist of them all. The opening riff is the best and is way up there with the best intros.
