"Infected" as written by and Matt Johnson....
I've got too much energy to switch off my mind,
But not enough to get myself organized.
My heart is heavy--my head is confused,
And my aching little soul--has started burning blue!

I can't give you up, till I've got more than enough.
So infect me with your love--
Nurse me into sickness. Nurse me back to health.
Endow me with the gifts--of the man made world.

When desire becomes an illness instead of a joy,
And guilt a necessity that's gotta be destroyed.

Take me by the hands and walk me to the end of the pier.
Run your fingers through my hair,
And tell me what I want to hear--
Will lies become truths in this face of fading youth
From my scrotum to your womb, --your cradle to my tomb.

Nurse me into sickness, nurse me back to health
And tell me what it is that I want in this world!!

General CommentDark stuff here, containing a vicious AIDS metaphor. The subject in the song is so lonely and lustful that he (I think) is having a sexual relationship either with prostitutes or with other premiscuous females. He is so confused and depressed that he doesn't care if he contracts HIV from them. The most cutting lyric here which reiterates this is:

'From my scrotum to your womb
    Your cradle to my tomb'

Perhaps this also hints to a baby that the two have produced as a result of this lustful, love-less sex.

Great lyrics, ace synthesizers, a great beat and a great trumpet solo too! Amazing song.

General CommentJust done a spell check and it looks like it's 'promiscuous.' Wish you could edit your comments soon after you've posted them.
