"'Til My Heart Beats Down Your Door" as written by and Joey/michaeli Tempest....
Hey you should know by now
I'm gonna take you down
Can't keep me out forever
'Cause now I'm back around
Put your best defense
I've made up my mind
I ain't like the others
I'm gonna make you mine
I'm gonna keep on knockin'
Knockin' like before
'Til my heart beats down your door
I'm gonna keep on comin'
Comin' back for more
'Til my heart
'Til my heart beats down your door
Baby you know you love me
So why do you pretend
When I could make you happy
If you just let me in
Well I remember better days
With you by my side
I'll keep you warm forever
And if it takes all night

General CommentTo me this song means alot...... It's one of my favorites of all time. I think it's about love of course and the struggles some people will go to to deny thier true feelings, and how if your partner is serious enough they will not give up but "keep knocking" until they break down your defenses and you let them into your heart.
very intense and deep lyrics.... I love it

General CommentThis song reminds me of two people I fell too hard and too fast for, even though they were emotionally unavailable. Four years of desperation and on again/off again in each case.

Musically, this is one of my fave tracks off the album, and it's delivered with such angst from Joey Tempest that the lyrics pack a real punch. Problem is, nobody in Europe wrote the lyrics for this one; it was written by producer Beau Hill's wife, Fiona, and a few other collaborators.

Oh well, a great song is a great song, and the band clearly recognizes that as well.
