Yeah
Yeah, uh huh
What's good?

Damn, it's setting in now (so high)
'Cause cartoons are turning into real life
Lemons and limes are fighting
Fighting over straws like they were oil filled pipes
And why's the sun writing this song?
And why is this funny to me?
All of a sudden the mouse comes along
And what he sings brings harmony

You may not understand
Why there's a smile on my face
It's 'cause this world could be
Such a wonderful place

'Cause some of these companies
Two-thousand began a race
But not me man
I see a wonderful place
The world's a wonderful place

My soul's in my smile
Don't frown, just get up, get up (look at the birds)
My soul's in my smile (look at the bees)
Don't frown, just get up, get up (look at the skies, look at the seas)
(It's a wonderful place, yeah)
My soul's in my smile
Don't frown, just get up, get up
My soul's in my smile (look at the cars, look at the planes)
Don't frown, just get up, get up (look at the sun, look at the stars)

The wallpapers moving
My arms and my legs leave a blur when I swipe
Sap is just oozing
The trees say, "Smoke blocks the sun"
So for them it's just night

The seven eyes lookin' through the clouds
And why is that funny to me? Uh
And here comes the mouse singing loud
And what he sings, it brings harmony

You may not understand
Why there's a smile on my face
It's 'cause this world could be
Such a wonderful place

'Cause some of these companies
Two-thousand began a race
But not me man
I see a wonderful place
The world's a wonderful place

My soul's in my smile
Don't frown, just get up, get up (look at the birds)
My soul's in my smile (look at the bees)
Don't frown, just get up, get up (look at the skies, look at the seas)
(It's a wonderful place, yeah)
My soul's in my smile
Don't frown, just get up, get up
My soul's in my smile (look at the cars, look at the planes)
Don't frown, just get up, get up (look at the sun, look at the stars)
My soul's in my smile
Don't frown, just get up, get up
My soul's in my smile
Don't frown, just get up, get up
My soul's in my smile
Don't frown, just get up, get up
My soul's in my smile
Don't frown, just get up, get up

So she tells her man, "Let's go fishin'"
Well go tomorrow morning when the sun rise
And then she says she wants to take her kids and
That's her boy that's 12 and her daughter that's 4 with angel eyes
So they get there and the sun has barely risen
Decided on a spot where the fish is plentiful with the tide
Get out their poles daddy smiles and said the fish is jumpin'
Then they heard a splash but it sounded bigger than fish size

12 yr old screams, "Mom"
And mom screams back
The baby was holdin' your arm
Well that was 30 seconds ago
So they jumped in
All comin up with nothin'
But then

Something told mom to look toward the light
But the sun wasn't yellow
It had turned white
So she listen and swam
She swam for the light
Like the Michelin man
She swam with such might
She spotted the baby
And she was on her back
Just as the light said, "Sunrise was Heaven's track"
She turned the baby over her eyes were still blue
Baby had a smile and said
"I was waitin' for you!"

Mom I was waitin' for you
Your baby
Mama, I love you
And I was waitin' for you
Hey

I was waitin' for you
I was waiting for you
Mama
I was waiting for you
I love you ma

This is song is based on an experience 4rell had when he ate 6 weed brownies...he said he hallucinated and that a mouse was actually talking to him!

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
