Drag down - feel this fatal heart beat
So deep - like the pound, pound, pounding industry
Cry out - I heard you slowly waking
Drowned out and slowly making back the writhing line

They cut the bloodline in the center
And injected this hated strain
They cut the bloodline, they left it wanting
Feeding on this youth's remains

And she goes

Give me the life - give me your love
Give me your innocence - give me the blood
Give me your life - give me your love
Give me your innocence - give me the blood
Give me the blood
Give me the blood

Fall out - that they left here from the time before
Fall down - this throb, throb, throbbing core
Reach out - but the words are so empty
Fold in and the edges fade to black

They cut the bloodline in the center
And injected this hated strain
They cut the bloodline, they left it wanting
Feeding on this youth's remains

But we go

Give me the life - give me your love
Give me your innocence - give me the blood
Give me your life - give me your love
Give me your innocence - give me the blood
Give me the blood
Give me the blood

They take away...the very breath...to see it here and make it hurt
They want to feel this inside out...when all of you have hope to doubt
They want to try it in this soul...to drink it free and cut it whole
A sacrifice you will not give...you must not try...you will not live
Lighting whole...the light inside...you want to find the very high...
Bloodline

Give me the life - give me your love
Give me your innocence - give me the blood
Give me your life - give me your love
Give me your innocence - give me the blood
Give me the blood
Give me the blood

They try this fight...to make it free and dance inside this entropy
They view the cut...they fight the run to break it and fall there undone...
They're looking hard...the final dead...another face they cut it red...
They want to fight...they want to see...to capture you...
For eternity...
For eternity...

I think the original album "...Night Crawls In" was based around vampires to be honest, listen to the songs Children In Black, and Black Heart and a Hammer specifically, although some of the others have strong references too.

@michinobu_zoned; their song Deception was used in one of the games, but that was some time after ...Night Crawls In was released.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
