I'm cagey about stories involving time.

It's like I'm slowly burning, breathing crimes
This is all right, burn the action now, tell me how you feel, burn the action now

Rotations take hold, clear but filthy cries
This is all right, burn the action now, tell me how you feel,
burn the action now...this is all right, all right

When the inner energy pollutes my soul with selfish needs
and small conspiracies unique from loyalty

And over and over and over and over and take all I have
and under and under and under and under and
Could you make it any easier so we can set this on fire
This is all I have and over and over and over and over and, take all I have
And under and under and under and under and
And over and over and over and over and take all I have to decide and all I have

We'll change the world how we want to, we'll change the world inside you
You changed the world, you changed the world,
burn the action, burn the action, burn the action now!

General Commentthis song has the best ending ever. ever ever ever.

and when you hear it live, its around that time that certain members of biffy might start jumping into the crowd.

My InterpretationI think this song is about the feelings a rock band front man may feel.
"When the inner energy pollutes my soul with selfish needs" - Maybe a star taking themselves a bit too seriously, getting caught up in their own hype.
"We'll change the world how we want to, we'll change the world inside you
You changed the world, you changed the world," - The arrogance of a rock star, thinking they can change the world alone, that feeling of importance.
The whole "burn the action" may be some sort of description of the craziness and din of some gigs, especially being such a high energy and aggressive band as Biffy are.
I think they're kindof saying that it bands need to be down to earth about their status, but also expressing how empowering being a rock band is to an individual. More of an amused observation than an attack on rock bands I think. Plus I'm sure performed live the fans love it and go crazy, mirroring the topic the song's based on.
I might be wrong, but that's the general impression I get from the lyrics + mood of it.
